I went with a friend who golfs, and stayed at the pool most of the time. It was so beautiful and I received spectacular service. A+

the hotel is not good

the hotel overcharge in all the service, golf paquets, spa, restaurant, and cost rooms. They charge in you credicard two or three times the cost of services. One is included in you hotel bill and another charge is directly to you credicard. Please check you bill daily, do not live the hotel before you check all the transactions are correct.

5-Star Experience - Highly Recommended

This resort lives up to the Marriott name. I have stayed at dozens of Marriotts all over the world, and this was the nicest one yet. I would stay 5-stars all the way. The grounds are beautiful. It is true that the self-parking is very far from the rooms, but the valet parking is free for those not staying in the “spa side” of the hotel. We got a garden view room, and I highly recommend this upgrade. The view was lovely and room was roomy. As I was sharing the room, I enjoyed having a separate vanity/desk AND a double sink/vanity away from the bathroom. The only negative experience I had was with the valet service. They were pretty incompetent. If you’re staying for several days, they expect you to keep your original ticket the whole time and remember to get it back each time you get your car. Kind of annoying. As far as nightlife goes, there was an amazing salsa club (Café Mystique) and a wonderful, uh, gentleman’s club (The Booby Trap) only a five minute drive away. Some awesome Cuban food was found within 1 mile (too far to walk) – I can’t remember the name of the place. Cheap rental cars can be had in Miami – ours was barely $20 a day, so I would recommend this to fully enjoy the area.

OVERRATED? YOU BET!!

three of my girlfiends and i went to spend a spa day that was given to us by our husbands. Mind you these packages are NOT CHEAP!! We were very much looking forward to get pampered and de-stress, but our srevices for short of being relaxing, they took shortcuts in every way possible and when it came to our "SPA LUNCH". Talk about a rude waiter (Robert) complined that we only left him a $1.00 tip to his fellow waiter and counted the money right in front of us as if we would short change him. Before you were able to take in any of our services you are required to leave a 20% gratuity. I could be wrong but isn't gratuity given for GREAT SERVICE? at least that is what i was always taught to do. I dont know about anyone else but I will never allow my husband to waste his hard earned money in this overated, overpriced so called Spa! P.S. Dont even enter the showers. The curtains are full of mold and their is hair all over the shower floor, and not just hair from your head if you know what i mean.

The Ut most Quality.

We arrived at the Doral on a late Monday night in early March. We were starving, so we went to one of Doral's many restaurants. We ate at Champion's Sports Bar and Grill. The food was delicious! Little did we know, the food got even better at every single place we ate while at the Doral. We stayed in the Spa. Gorgeous, stunning views, panoramic, just fantistic! The pools, the rooms, the restaurants, the shopping, Doral has it all!!!!

our anniversary getaway

My husband got me a $500. gift certificate for the spa. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I surprised him with a room. We had dinner at Windows on the green with friends. I had our waitress bring a card at dessert and give to my husband. He opened it and was quite surprised and also got emotional. We had an exceptional wonderful time. I need to go back to the spa. We enjoyed every minute

These people really know how to look after their guests. Friendly, prompt, professional service from every member of their huge staff. Marriott is obviously pouring lots of money into renos and upgrades. The old reviews we read on-line were nothing at all like the facilities we encountered. The food is a little pricey, but this is Doral not Burger King. 5 golf courses to choose from, adults pool was great, and the spa list of options is endless. The grounds are substantial and we enjoyed walking, but they'll shuttle you around on golf carts if preferred. A great stay for couples.

Two Thumbs Up

Just what we were looking for. We come from Massachusetts and are diehard Miami Dolphin and Heat fans. Perfect location to get to Dolphin Stadium or American Airlines Arena (25 min. either way). Plenty of restaurants within 5 min of the resort. Mall, grocery store, CVS, just about everything within 1 mile. The resort itself is clean, spacious and quiet. The only thing I feel should be upgraded is the pool table in the activities center. We are there twice a year and don't even consider looking elsewhere. Rick J

Good Value For The Money

The rooms have apparently recenlty been renovated and are very nice--especially for the money. The selection of pools was great--one for families (which is huge) and then 2 at the spa which were very quiet and peaceful. The location leaves a lot to be desired--not close to anything of interest--at least 25-30 minutes away from most attractions. The service, especially housekeeping, was only ok at best. The sitting areas and the hallways in the "lodges" are in horrible shape--old, dingy and musty smelling--not what we expected at a Marriott--especially at a resort.

Place so Nice I'd come back twice!!

This resort was absolutely amazing. The staff was helpful and saw to all my needs before I even asked!! The resort was a paradise with the pools, waterfalls and golf course! I loved it!! And the price was resonable!
