Delano, Miami Beach

The concierge gave us wrong information on where to go on Thursday evening... and he gave the same info to many around the pool... he said this is the place you have to be... there was a private party and we weren't allowed.. so, not on the guest list... didn't expect that. We left our Range Rover in full - got it back minus a bumper... must have been carefully removed from our car as there were no scratch marks. Hopefully they will fix this in a timely fashion - the inconvenience of having to have a new bumper put on and also drive around and conduct business in this vehicle until then (we are in Real Estate) is not a good thing. Pool staff excellent... parking staff friendly and accomdating - except for our problem with the vehicle....

I just returned from a vacation there and had several serious problems that would have been taken seriously at any other larger hotel. It would have been fine if the management even acknowledge any of these problems, would have been even better if they tried to fix these problems, but we were ignored the whole time. The pool was amazing and the pool bar staff were the only people who made this experience bearable. I would not go back and would make sure none of my friends stayed at this hotel.

Stayed here because the Ritz was booked up. After traveling from New York with a four hour airline delay, we were brought up to a room the size of a small closet with two twin beds. (We were two adults and two twelve year old children) It took 15 minutes of trying to reason with the hotel manager when he finally gave us two rooms. (he said accommodations for four people were not available) If you are staying here, the lower floors are NOT renovated and are dirty with old 15 inch televisions. After 3 days, I complained about the children being alone in a room and we were sent to a loft room on a higher floor. Service and cleanliness were much better. The postings on this site about the valet are right. In our six day stay, the average wait for our car was 40 minutes even though we called down in advance for it. Management was always very nice and accommodating. The pool and beach areas are without a doubt magnificent. Lots of fabulous looking people with GREAT bodies. The Delano staff by the pool and beach area could not have been better. This hotel is NOT for families. Hip scene for singles on Friday and Saturday.

Park a mile away and walk to the hotel, and you will get your car back faster than the unorganized valet system they have there! I expected better service from this place.

This hotel was one of worst I have been to when it comes to service. A group of friends and I stayed in the penthouse and were treated as if we were not even staying with the hotel at all. We spent a lot of money and were treated like dirt. The hotel staff is very rude and really don't care. I would never go back to this hotel ever again. You can get better service for half the price of this hotel.

Nightmare on Elm Street. Pubic hairs on the floor. Ripped bed sheets. Ripped comforters. TV's approx. 15 years old. The same menu they have had for the last 6 years. Punks as "poolboys" i.e. "sorry - we don't give out towels after 5:00 pm here @ the pool. Not "dust bunnies" but dust ELEPHANTS in the room, and on the loser lamp shades. Dirty drink "rings" all over the marble table in the room. Bathrooms you can barely move around in filled with mold. Lousy views. This place is so fake and so overrated it's not even funny. Women @ the pool pumped with so much collagen and phony implants it was truly "Fright Night". The "David Barton Gym" was dirty, hot (AC wasn't working well) and so beat it was ridiculous. Skip this place and head over to the Marriot Eden Roc for a TREMENDOUS value and a solid property.

The attitude of the staff is that nothing is to much trouble, the blue room is fantastic and the rooms are amazing. Well worth the visit!!!

Miami is famed for always coming up with new hip and trendy hotels, restaurants and bars. However, I still think that the grand dame of this category is the Delano. After all these years the decor still stuns the visitor and the pool scene is the best in Miami. Worth the price!

Excellent service, wonderful food, ambience, luxury, beauty, great huge pool, fabulous "people watching" crowd, good music, super location, privacy if needed, romantic, great view, one of the best.

The Delano is a beautiful hotel with a clientle to match. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to meet all of your needs. It is a full service hotel and is worth the extra money to stay there. During the day you can sip drinks by the pool and watch all of the hotel guest mingling around the pool. At night, The Rose Bar is happening and so is the bar out by the pool.
