Coral Sands Inn & Seaside Cottage, Ormond Beach

We heard about this place and checked it out on the internet. We called the 800# and asked about a cottage. They said they had one left facing the ocean. The price was good so we took it. This was about 3 weeks in advance. When we got there they had no cottages left. They had a family reunion going on. They put us on the fifth floor. Told us we would have to contact expedia to get our money back. We knew that wouldn't happen. We where told we had so much time to cancel to get a full refund and that time had past. We specfically asked and wanted a cottage. The room was ok but we where looking forward to a cottage. Not crazy about elevators, and it got stuck on the third floor so one time we had to walk 5 flights...we are late 50's so that isn't an easy thing to do. The staff at check in didn't seem to care at all that we were deceived.

As I write to you I am sitting on the bed in my lovely blue room at Coral Sands. This is a well kept bleach motel hotel that has a retro feel to it. It is all Coral colored in the outisde with a gorgeous Hollywood style pool that is lit up at night. Ocean views and the beach there seems fairly private and not crowded. You just walk right out to the beach. I loved getting up early and watcihing the sun rise like an orange ball. Dolphins can easily be seen frolicing under the morning sun. Pelican sit in the sunrise and white egrets feed on fish near. I would recommend it to anyone.

What a beautiful setting to start and end your day. We stayed in the highrise and had a wonderful view. The room was clean, and fit our needs. The only thing I missed was a mirror. The bathroom has a small mirror, none in bedroom to see how you dressed. We do plan to visit again. And would recommend this property to all our friends and family. Chris

We have been coming here for 6 years. Our last visit was in March of 2008. My Dad passed away while we were there and we had to leave early. The staff was very helpful to us during that time. We are headed back in Oct. of this year and can't wait. Beautiful place, wonderful people and feels like home when we are there. Wouldn't go anywhere else and we always recommend it to anyone who asks where we stay while in Ormond By The Sea.

Just got back from a 5 night stay at the Coral Sands in one of the cottages. We were there for a family reunion, so we didn't have any say in where we would stay. I was greatly surprised to find the Coral Sands comfortable, clean and the staff very accommodating! After 4 days at Disney it was just what we needed to relax and enjoy the beach. It is a great place for families. I would absolutely recommend the Coral Sands! Our family reunion is already booked for next year at the Coral Sands!

We found the coral sands online and decided to give it a try ...from the very first time we called it was a great experience...The young man that took the reservation ...Mark was just great...he was very helpfull and found us the perfect room ....at check in Chrystal and Mark were very friendly and helpfull in letting us know where to eat and what there was to do in the area...they told us the rooms were recently redone in the highrise and they were lovely...very roomy and clean and had wonderfull views...I highly recommend this hotel if you like a nice clean and friendly place for you or your family.

We loved the February get-away; we got the 'perfect' room with the 'perfect' location ~ corner, poolside, beachview ~ 'perfect'! We were greeted with smiles by all staff encountered, given extra linen and pool towels right away. We are on the road again - on our way back to Coral Sands Inn for enjoy another 'perfect' weekend! We stayed in one of the cottages last year and except for a wild quick storm and some plumbing issues that resulted from the storm....We loved the Privacy and the VIEW.....Parked my Harley by the walkway with the car behind......Liked it so much we will be returning to the same cottage for the four day Labor Day weekend.......The Best place to stay and ride North to St Aug., Jacksonville Beach area and South to wherever..............Super eating spots on A1A.....I just wish it was less expensive for Bike Week and Biketoberfest.....over my head for those dates....but it brought back the old feel of the BEACH that I remember from the Summer of '66 , when I stayed with my sister, her husband & kids a block & a half off the Ocean in ORMOND BEACH & worked on THE BOARDWALK IN DAYTONA BEACH.............. slept in cottage 120 could not walk for a week , the beds are not good!! It was nice on the beach but do not sleep on the beds!!

The staff is always friendly and helpful when making reservations and during our visits. (We've been staying here for the past 12 years). The "tower" rooms are spacious and we love having the kitchenette to prepare meals and snacks. We also appreciate the easy access to the beach. The pool area has plenty of umbrella tables for those who prefer some shade. But for those of us who want plenty of sunshine, the pool is in direct sunlight almost all day long. Coral Sands is perfect for my family!
