We will NEVER go back!
By ,
The room we thought we were getting was not reserved for us and we had to negotiate to get it. There were dirty glasses outside our door when we arrived and remained there to the day we checked out, even though we had told SEVERAL staff about this. Also the bathroom floor was VERY DIRTY! Although we intend to return to Amelia Island we will not stay at this resort.

Nice but confusing
By ,
We had an oceanview room and that was very nice but we heard the elevator everytime it would go up or down. The plantation itself is lush and beautiful. The beach has alot of room and and it is very nice. When travelling about the plantation it seems quite confusing and it took about 3 days to get used to it. Parking was a chore some days it was ok and other days we had to walk a bit. We stayed for a 4 nights and we would try somewhere else next time.

Peaceful Fun
By ,
We just got back from a 5 night stay at a villa inside the Amelia Island Plantation resort. It was a true pleasure. We have four children ranging from 6 to 16 years old. All four children enjoyed themselves. The lttle ones were taken fishing by the Nature Center staff. The older kids rode around on a golf cart we rented and had a blast. The ocean/beach is beautiful and private. We never saw more than ten people on the beach. The pools were nice and well maintained. We stayed in a very well appointed villa with a golf course view. Very comfortable beds. Internet connection (wireless) was only available in the Hotel lobby and conference center, each a few minute's walk. The resort has a confusing layout but that is some of the fun. I'd go again in a heartbeat. Drawbacks: Occasional odor from irrigation system. Resort food was generally overpriced and not great. We did enjoy the meals we had at the Marche Burrett (sp?) restaurant among the shops.

Couldn't have asked for better
By ,
What a vacation! This resort has it all...everything you need to get lost in comfort and never run out of things to do to keep busy. The on-site bar was the best on the island...people drove there from the other resorts. We stayed in Condos, were my sis had a room at the INN...our rooms were large, comfortable and always clean. Ready to go back!

i love this place!!!
By ,
This place is so beautiful. There are palm trees everywhere and the beach is nice and secluded. There are absolutly no spring breakers, the beaches are never crowded, and the food is great. The plantation has 2 pools; one heated and one not. They even sell the mini shampoos that are in the bathroom in regular sized bottles in a store near the main hotel. My mother and i can't wait to go back next spring break!!!!!!

would go again without hesitation

They treat you like somebody, not something. All staff are courteous and immediately available if you need to call on them. I highly recommend this establishment, and will stay there as often as possible in the future.

Someplace different
By ,
Amelia Island Resort is like being in a park. Plenty of wild life and vegetation. Our stay over the fourth of July was pleasant but a little troubling. Parking was impossible over the long weekend though people made due. They parked in every place you could put a car. When the weekend was over the real problems started. Someone started construction work on one of the villas in our unit. Work started at 7:30AM and continued all day for the next three days. I complained at checkout on Friday. The counter person promptly refunded a token amount of $200.00. Though that could not possibly replace the peace and quiet I thought I was going on vacation for. Generally speaking, this is a nice place but I did not feel that it was a good value for the money. Particularly due to the construction that we later were told was not authorized by the management.

Everything was wonderful. The staff went out of their way to see that we had everything we needed. Also check out the poolside dining. The food was excellent.
