Willard Intercontinental, Washington

The only thing i would suggest to you guys is making sure you book it online at SweetHotelDeals. N e t I did a bunch of searching for hotel prices, and that site seems to have the lowest prices all around

The hotel can be very expensive, and if you have ever stayed at a 4 seasons, you will be disappointed. The hotel is gorgeous, and the staff is amazing. Nonetheless, the rooms are old and antiquated. The room I stayed in was $589.99 a night and had furniture from the 1920's. The only part of the room that was updated was the bathroom with granite counter tops. The bathroom lacks jacuzzi tubs, or a separate shower. The main bedroom had old wallpaper, most views are not that spectacular, and they have not updated the linens nor the technologies. They are missing flat screen tv's and cd alarm clocks. Most rooms closet space is adequate but not spectacular. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a gorgeous room, or a comfortable bed, though the location is amazing. Just recently my family was going to stay in town, and Willard wanted $799 a night for the rooms, I told them to find another hotel. Try the Hay Adams which is beautiful.

If you're in DC for business then you already know this is one of the best, if not the best, in DC. On the other hand, if you're visiting DC for pleasure then this hotel is definitely worth staying at; if the impeccable service, well appointed rooms and unbelievable bar + restaurant (many people say lobbying was invented at the Round Robin Bar) are enough for you then, perhaps, ask yourself the question: when visiting DC and exploring this countries history why stay at some cheap chain motel when you can spend a few extra bucks and say you stayed at a hotel that so many visiting dignitaries and presidents and ….. have stayed at. Definitely worth the extra few dollars! By the way the lobby is just stunning over the Christmas holiday.

the hotel was great. the room was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. i would stay here again.

This is a very comfortable hotel while on business in Washington DC. Nice restaurants around the area since the hotel is located Downtown. Easy to get to special sites to see.

Had a great time. location was great. Service excellent. Only complaint was regarding parking, and honestly, this was minor as the access to the subway is great.

Great location next to Treasury and White House. Same with Hotel Washington too. It's almost as good. A great history surrounds it back to the Civil War and has outstanding accomondations.

It is a great old hotel ... but why bother when there are so many other great locations like the Westin in the same area for a much better value? Stay here once for the experience ... and then go somewhere else.

Although the views leave something to be desired, the Willard has by far the best rooms, dining, tea and service in DC. The Willard Room was everything to be expected and desired-dimly lit, exceptional service and a staff ready to accommodate! By far one of my best visits to DC and now the hotel of choice.
