Not your typical Intercontinental

The hotel can be very expensive, and if you have ever stayed at a 4 seasons, you will be disappointed. The hotel is gorgeous, and the staff is amazing. Nonetheless, the rooms are old and antiquated. The room I stayed in was $589.99 a night and had furniture from the 1920's. The only part of the room that was updated was the bathroom with granite counter tops. The bathroom lacks jacuzzi tubs, or a separate shower. The main bedroom had old wallpaper, most views are not that spectacular, and they have not updated the linens nor the technologies. They are missing flat screen tv's and cd alarm clocks. Most rooms closet space is adequate but not spectacular. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a gorgeous room, or a comfortable bed, though the location is amazing.
Just recently my family was going to stay in town, and Willard wanted $799 a night for the rooms, I told them to find another hotel. Try the Hay Adams which is beautiful.
