We arrived at 6pm, our room wasn't even cleaned, so we had to wait until 7pm. The room was small, dingy, the air conditioning unit squeaked like mice were dying (they probably were somewhere in the room), it was dirty, and the maid left behind a dirty towel from the previous guests. I have seen projects nicer than this place. Wish I could have gotten a full refund and made a run for it, but we were desperate and stuck. Stay far, far away.
 
 
 
 
 
Nice hotel; far from DC

The Fairfield Inn in Beltsville is a very nice hotel. I have no complaints about the hotel or staff. It was clean and our king bed rooms (two of them) were both comfortable. The staff was friendly, though they did make a mistake on our reservation. There were lots of students there on a field trip, but we were not bothered by any noise. The complimentary breakfast bar was adequate. The hotel has free wireless internet access. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel, though nothing fancy. However, if you are there to see D.C. sites, plan on an hour's commute into town any time of day or night. We stayed because the room rates were low. Next time, I would opt to pay more and be closer to town.

The worst time we ever had. We were to have a king bed but got a queen. Cops were every where that night due to fighting in the halls. Had to leave at 1:15 in the morning. Was afriad to stay any longer. Ask for a refund but got nothing.
