Quality Inn East Haven, East Haven

Tom the manager was a delight to do business with. He cares about his guest and takes pride in his hotel :) The hotel is a perfect stop for someone who is going to an event at Anthony's Ocean View :) After reading some of the negative reivews I called the hotel and was quickly put at ease by Tom who assured me that they were from a disgruntled employee.

First I would like to say the visual tour does not do this hotel justice. Locations feels like you are in the slums. The interior is definitely OLD. My feeling as a patron should be gutted and rebuilt. Dumpy,dumpy. The ice machine is broke. the continental breakfast is very shallow. The rooms were stale. All i know is that my future stays using a CHOICE-HOTEL will not happen. WILL STICK WITH THE MARRIOTT CHAINS they are cleaner,fresher, and have a laundry facility.

The room was supposed to be a non smoking room, It smelled like a dirty old ashtray. The water did not go down in the tub after taking a shower (6 hours later it was still sitting in the tub). The parking lot looks like it hasn't been swept or cleaned in years, (cigarette butts every where, empty beer and soda cans and bottles all over the place). The hotel provided a shuttle to Anthony's Ocean View Restaurant which was good, but Anthony's should not be associated with this dump, It's a bad refection on them. Many wedding guests that went back to the hotel after the wedding left right away, rather than stay another night. Price is right if you don't mind staying in a smelly, dirty, dump.
