Comfort Inn Vernon, Vernon

I enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn. It was a nice breaking point on a long drive. It seemed like a family-run place and the people working were very pleasant. We walked in at 10 at night to see if they had a room and they still gave us a good rate. The breakfast was well-stocked. Also the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay there again.

We checked in around 3pm and they made us wait in the lobby for 45 minutes. They claimed the room we reserved was not ready. We reserved a room with 2 beds - nonsmoking. 2 people. Did this hotel only have 1 room with 2 beds nonsmoking? GIVE ME A BREAK. We left and went to that Hojos right next door and saved almost 30 bucks after tax. The rooms were straight over there too...

The place was a ripoff...for the price you should be getting a lot better rooms. You cant charge an exorbant price and expect people not to complain or ask for extra shampoo or towels. The breakfast was nonexistant at 945 AM and when we asked to replenish, it took 20 minutes.

I chose the Comfort Inn in Vernon only because Southwest Airlines directed me to them as a hotel I could use in the area that still allowed me to get my rapid rewards. The hotel is located in a strip mall, which as a woman traveling alone, didn't make me feel great. However, I was very disappointed with the front desk staff who had to interrupt her dinner and game of solitatire that evening to help me. After being given a room on the 2nd floor with no elevator I had to carry my heavy bag upstairs, there was never an offer to just give me a room on the first floor and frankly with the people hanging out in the lobby, I didn't want to fuss so I took my room and moved on. The lady present for check-out was just as rude, no good morning no how was your stay nothing, just my receipt and not even a "have a good day". There are other hotels in this area around the same price that will make you feel safer and more welcome to be there. I would not recommend or choose this hotel again and wanted other people to have the information.

The Front Desk Staff was very helpful, especially the weekend girl. She made our time there most enjoyable.

I found the Comfort Inn in Vernon, CT to be the best value I found in the Hartford area. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, the front desk friendly and the breakfast very good. Being right off the highway was extremely convenient yet a quiet location. The rates were reasonable and a great value. High Speed Internet was free and recently installed!! Worked great!! I would stay at the Comfort Inn in Vernon again and again!!
