Don't stay at the DOGS INN!
By Suezer2, 6/22/11
I will say that the location is great. However, that is the only good thing. Bring your own sheets and a strong air sanitizer. One guest in our group had a room that stunk of cat pee. Make sure you wear flip flops as the rugs are disgusting. You might want to bring a light bulb or two and definitely bring air freshener. Make sure you lock your door as there are a few "permanent residence". Don't swim in the green pool. We actually saw a dog swimming in it, which is odd since dogs aren't allowed.

Don't Ever Stay at this Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/10
This is the most disgustingly dirty hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were not only dirty but they were unsafe as well. The door on my first room did not lock and I needed to be moved to another room because no one could fix the problem. The second room was dirty as well and the fire/smoke detectors in each room were missing batteries. Please yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

IF YOU HAVE CLASS GO ELSEWHERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/08
I STAYED AT THE DAYS INN ON 8/8/08 I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SAY SUCH A SHITHOLE IN THE WALL. THE HOUSE KEEPING WALKED INTO MY ROOM WITH OUT KNOCKING AT 9 AM INTHE MORNING WHILE I WAS IN THE JACUZZI WHICH IS NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT. THERE WERE BUGS IN THE BATHROOM THE POOL WAS DISGUSTING GREEN COULDNT BE USED. IT WAS THE WORST STAY I HAVE EVER HAD AT A HOTEL. IF YOU HAVE ANY CLASS DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THE OWNERS DO NOT CARE AND THEY OVER CHARGE. TAXES ARE 6 PERCENT NOT 12. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO A DIRT BAG THAT HAD NO HOME. NO RESPECT OR CURTOSY. DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will never go back!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/08
This place is a disgrace!!!! The pool was broken and the place is falling apart the smoke detectors do not work in the building and this place rents out to section 8 renters. The people working there do not speak very good english and the tv's in the rooms do not get many channels. The back building is a disgrace the windows are broken and the main door to get into the building does not lock. This place is a fire hazard. Our fathers called the fire dept regarding the smoke detectors and the fire dept told us that this place has got written up on so many hazards. Shame on the city of Branford for allowing this place to stay open. I would not recommend this place to any one. The renters are making a mess of this place. We booked this place 2 months in advance. Not one person called us to say that the pool was broken we had 18 families staying there the front office called our team leader just one day prior to us leaving and not once did they say that the outdoor pool was broken. We would have called another hotel. We have all learned a big lesson next time call the fire dept before you stay in any hotel!!!!! They told us do not let your kids out at night this is not a safe place to stay.

The dirtiest place I've NEVER stayed in.
By Shannon, 8/20/07
I reserved a non-smoking room only to enter a smelly smoking room. Upon checking in after my girlfriend's wedding, we noticed several burn holes in the comforter that went right down through the sheet to the mattress. (Don't believe me? I have the pics to prove it.) We requested a new room and was downgraded to a double bed instead of a queen. That would have been fine, but the bedding on this bed also had cigarette burns in it. When speaking to the man at the desk he refused to apologize for the cleaniness of the room saying "I can't apologize for something I don't mean." He said that the hotel was going through an acquisition and was no longer a Days Inn, which is funny because his business card read Days Inn as well as the keys that he gave us. We demanded that nothing be charged to our accounts and left... canceling our stay and driving home. This hotel is disgusting and the help, if you can call it that, is clearly in the wrong profession. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Get out while you can.

Outstanding value in Branford
By David, 5/13/05
The room was large and comfortable. Convenient to all locations, right at the intersection of I-95 (exit 55) and Route 1. Easy access to ice. Convenient continental breakfast - donuts, pastries, bread, toaster, etc. Great food at a 24-hour diner (HUGE menu) right across the street. Maids were hard to communicate with (language barrier). Bathroom light had issues (probably needed a bulb, but we forgot to mention it to the front desk), but there was a tanning light which we used. Overall a decent motel at a great price. - Grace & Susie
