Boulder Outlook Hotel & Suites, Boulder

My wife Vivian and I were priviledged to go on tour recently with our "kids," The Dustin Pittsley Band. We had the time of our lives! Our first two nights of the tour (June 22-23) were spent at the Boulder Outlook Hotel. Having traveled extensively over my career, I know a well managed hotel when I visit it. From the well maintained rooms to the food and the staff at the hotel, we could not have more pleased. Very Professional! Equally impressive is the way the band was treated. It is little wonder why they look forward to the next tour in Colorado. We have known the talent of the Dustin Pittsley Band for several years and are thrilled with the reception they are receiving in Colorado as the fan base continues to grow. Again, thank you for such a wonderful experience, and thank you for appreciating and supporting the blues and the artists.

I thought this place was great! lovely, clean and comfortable rooms. They had a fantastic group of staff members who were friendly, professional and very helpful. The food and service was excellent as well. I will recommend to family and friends and would certainly stay here again.

My stay here was wonderful. The rooms were nice and clean and the continental breakfast was great. I will recommend Lodge on the River to all my friends and family who come into this area and will certainly be back to stay again very soon.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The person at the front desk was very friendly and professional, the food was delicious, The facilities were clean, and the location was great. Fantastic place to stay!

The front desk employees were very rude. The rooms are very small and not very clean. Average at best. The pool was nice and the location is good. I would not stay here again.

We loved the pool, patio, restaurant, blues bands, etc. Very clean, really nice employees - i've been twice and plan on going there many more times.

My stay at the Outlook Hotel was fantastic! The customer service was very friendly and the amenities were well worth the stay value. The indoor pool and bouldering rock were fun for my kids and the room was very nice! The only down side I found was it was not as close to downtown Boulder as I would have liked, but I definitely would recommend the Boulder Outlook Hotel to anyone staying in the Boulder Area.

Maybe not the WORST but close to it. Loud outside noise -- next to university apartments. Outside doors, access difficult, couldn't find an elevator to easily get luggage upstairs, maybe a four-inch mattress. Checked out as soon as we could.

Sounds like the the person that wrote about bed bugs here was really just trying to give the Outlook a bad rep after smoking in a room that was not a smoking one and then was charged for doing something they knew was against policy. It is my understanding that the entire hotel is non-smoking and has been for several years. The Outlook is one of the best value places around, so don't believe everything you read on this site.

I stayed at the Boulder Outlook over labor day weekend. I woke up with itchy legs and bite marks on me. I got to looking around and the behind/around the head board I found numerous large bed bugs. I also was charged 250 dollars extra for smoking in a room that was not clearly identified as a non-smoking room when other rooms had no smoking signs on the door. If you are looking to stay in this area I would recommend the best western. It's in the same area and has a similar price.
