Chek Inn, Lamar

This was quite a surprise. It was suggested by another motel that was more than I like to spend. I am on the road constantly and don't like to spend a lot just for a nights sleep and a shower. Most of the time I stay at the Best Western. This place is so clean and everything really works. You can see it has been upgraded by professionals. The pool is as good as they get. The owner/operators were extremely helpful and kind. I am so glad I took a chance at a non brand motel. I highly recommend this motel unless you are used to the Holiday Inn, which was $70 more. The a/c is a modern digital controlled unit that kept the room very cool on low fan while the outside temps were in the high 80's. Quiet, very quiet even on this Memorial Day weekend. There is a Safeway and Super Center Wal Mart within minutes so you can fill the fridge or heat with the microwave!

Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids, room was clean and had simple but fresh and decent breakfast which saved us a lot of time and money (compared to going to fastfood)Was surprised to see the wireless internet connection for free (while other bigger hotels make it a special features) Will definetely stay here again

We stayed here recently, and found the room clean and quiet. I had read the comments so I first saw the room before renting and was happy with the quality that you get at the price which was about 25$ cheaper than other motels in town for pretty much the same types of room.

Has new owners and are starting to upgrade and get new managers. See a potential to be made better. Getting rid of riff raff that was bad for property and making it a quieter place to stay.

After four attempts we finally got the room we ordered. The owner puts no money into the building...air conditioning did not work in one room....the pool pump is not on hence it was filthy(cleaned it myself) not sure of the health quality of the water if the pump is off...shower head sprayed at the ceiling and window causing quite a mess....needs major repairs...keys did not work to rooms...We normally don't complain but if someone had written this, I would have saved myself alot of trouble...needs new owner!
