9 reviews for Best Western Lake Dillon Lodge, Frisco
We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/09
My husband and I decided to stay in Frisco after being on the road all day and ended up at the Best Western. Our room was nice, the hot tub was hot, and the breakfast was adequate. For two weary travlers this hotel was comfortable and relaxing.

ONE OF THE BEST...
By catstoy, 10/08/08
places, reasonably priced, we stayed on our 8 day western trip. I shared the room with my adult son; everything was fine, bathroom, shower, bedding, table and chair, etc. I am hard of hearing and a CAPTIONED TV is a must if I am to use it or enjoy it. Any TV made after 1993 has a captioning chip. When it was obvious the remote, which had a CC button, couldn't bring it on I called the front desk. A young man who spoke broken english responded and really didn't understand what I was asking for. On the way to dinner I asked the night manager to please rectify the situation or adjust the bill. On my return she told me the cable company does not supply captioning to any TV on the premises. This explaination I find incomprehensible. ADA (Americns with Disibilities Act) should be made aware of this. Bill was not adjusted.

Highly recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/19/08
I had read enough negative reviews on- line to be really concerned about the quality, cleanliness and service. Instead I found almost every aspect of the service and conveniences excellent, especially considering the cost of staying there, given that it is one of the few inexpensive places in that part of Summit County which has an indoor swimming pool. (1) The pool was a delight, clean, warm and inviting and barely used during the weekdays I stayed. And the jacuzzi’s were wonderful too. (2) I found everything in my room in fine working order and was really pleased by the air conditioner/heater which could be easily adjusted quickly one degree at a time, keeping the room from overheating at night but making it warm before and immediately after showers.(3) Some reviews mentioned carpets not being well-vacuumed. I found that to be so one day in my room (of my five there) and called the front desk which promptly sent someone to make it better. She did it with a friendly attitude. I also told the front desk about back stairs leading to the pool needing vacuuming. That too was swiftly taken care of. (4) All the service people I spoke to were friendly and helpful, although a couple of young men at the front desk seemed to be still learning on the job.(5) I also rented skiis and boots from Ike Garst’s High Road Sports downstairs in the lobby. Ike was very knowledgeable, and likewise helpful and friendly. His rates were quite reasonable too, compared to what I would have paid on the slopes.(6) I had breakfast only once in the restaurant and suggest that if you looking for baking powder biscuits, you will find that the restaurant’s are authentic.

Watch out for bugs/fleas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/23/06
I woke up with several flea bites. We killed several crawling and flying bugs in the room on the third floor. Will I go back? What do you think.

You get what you pay for
By Tho, 03/10/06
If you don't mind smoky hallways, dirty bathrooms/showers, wall paper peeling and a ventilation system that is either tooo hot or tooo cold, than by all means book your stay here. The best feature of this hotel is there's a Safeway right across the street. You can get all your essentials, like bottled water and some snacks. In conclusion, I would recommend NOT STAYING HERE, spend the extra $ and get yourself a clean, decent place to stay.

BY PASS THIS MOTEL!
By Nancy, 09/09/05
PROS: Close to interstate, gas station and grocery CONS: The management, esp. general manager, the environmental safety in the room. Checked in at night unaware of "inherent" problems. Toilet was slow in flushing, but not a big deal. Next morning made coffee in room coffee maker to find it sour & soapy tasting. Went to restuarant on premises to get thermos of coffee. No one there to help, and desk person seeing me w/ thermos no help at all. Went to gas station to get coffee twice. Shortly before check out, I opened curtains to find large hole with water dripping from it. I thought the sound was from rain the night before. Filled out comment card, went to the desk to ask for adjustment to my bill. Clerk & gen. mgr. were obstinate saying if I would have brought up problems, they could have "fixed" them. Mgr. told me leak was inherent problem. If that is the case, NO ONE should stay in that room(s) until problem is fixed. NO ADJUSTMENT TO BILL WHAT SO EVER. Have contacted corporate offices for resolve. Mgr sent me a letter saying items were fixed, and sorry about my experience, nothing more. I'm taking this to a higher level. Manager shouldn't be in the customer/lodging indusry. It definitely wasn't the 3 star rating. Best thing...it was near the entrance of freeway.

Stay anywhere but here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/23/05
We booked 6 nights at this hotel and checked out after 2. We moved across the street to the Holiday Inn which was far better and was $10 less / night. We had three major gripes about this hotel: 1) High Speed Internet: the hotel's website advertises high speed internet access in the rooms. Each room also has literature which claims each room has high speed internet access. In fact, only 20 of the 127 rooms are hard wired for access. They do have WiFi, but only in the lobby. 2) Staff: When we asked about the internet in the room we were met with blank stares and confusion. When I spoke with the manager and explained they were false advertising, he told me "Best Western required me to put the literature in the rooms". I asked to be compensated for our inconvience since we booked at the Best Western due to the high speed internet feature and he said he couldn't do anything except let us checkout ealier. We did. In general we found all staff members to be uninformed, slow to respond, and rude. 3) In Room Fan: There was a climate control wall unit in our room that kept kicking on with a very loud fan and cold air about every 30 minutes. We set it to "off" but it still kept turning on. We had the staff look at it twice who claimed "it shouldn't be turning on now". Unfortunately it did and as a result our 2 nights of sleep were fitfull.

Average Hotel in Frisco
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/23/05
The hotel room was clean, but average. No fitness facility was a major drawback.

Nice Hotel but....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/04
Restaurant and Room Service are good but bed sheets weren't changed at all during my 3 day stay. Also a grouchy female bartender overcharged my tab
