waste of money, total rip-off
The only thing good about this place is the scenery--and they're not in charge of that, thank heavens. This place is billed (and charges) as a top-of-the-line hotel. NOT! Shabby, dirty and falling apart everywhere you look. We were there for 4 days in a 3 bdrm condo arrangement - seriously stupid the way that's set-up. It's not really a self-contained 3 bedroom unit--they just connect 2 regular hotel rooms with a one-bed open-loft condo. You actually have to walk across a public hallway to get from the un-connecting bedrooms to the living area, or you go up a full flight of stairs on one side, walk through a private hall upstairs, and then down a full flight on the other side to get to the kitchen/living room. T.V.'s are mounted so high you have to crane your neck to watch the news...windows all fogged and full of moisture between panes so it's hard to check out the scenery. Screens broken, windows don't close properly. Bathrooms not cleaned daily--never been in a hotel where they don't clean bathrooms! Everywhere you looked in both the rooms and in the hallways, meeting rooms, etc. the carpet, paint, tile,& woodwork needs replacement or repair. Elevators are downright scary--shakey, lights blink off & on--long pauses betweens motion--other people also commented on that too. Severe shortage of staff--maids don't show up to do the rooms until 5 p.m., then just leave clean towels (no cleaning, no trash removed, etc. We actually had to run after them down the hall to get them to dump the overflowing trash cans.) In-hotel deli was understaffed, overpriced, and burned food. We skipped restaurant after hearing from other guests about short wait-staff, and overpriced mediocre food. Front desk staff difficult to understand (foreign student-types with very limited English, who had to refer every question to someone else, usually someone else way too busy to assist.) We witnessed these goofs trying to check in a handicapped woman (wheelchair)--they were insisting that she would have to wait outside (in the rain) to take a public shuttle bus around to the other side of the complex to get to her hotel room, because the room they put her in was only accessible from the inside of the complex in a way that required going up a short flight of stairs--in her wheelchair--and they called that handicapped accessible! We have stayed in everything from motel 6 to world class big city hotels--this had to be the worst.
