Tl La Jolla Beach, La Jolla

First of all, I would never take the time to write anything here if I didn't leave with BUG BITES ALL OVER MY ARMS AND LEGS. When i asked the manager he told me that the hotel is "pet friendly" and the bites may have been fleas?? Although I'm still convinced they have bedbugs. They moved my room and I ended up with more bites the next night. I THEN CHECKED OUT. I figure if the mattresses were anything like the decor it's been a longgg while since they have been changed. Ps- photos are very deceiving, should be updated. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone period. There is a Holiday Inn across the street with comparable rates and a much cleaner, newer atmosphere. I enjoyed the rest of my trip there.

This is a great place to stay. It is much cheaper than most other places in La Jolla, but it is nice and clean, has a great swimming pool, and is situated close to the ocean and the village. As a family with two small children, it was great to have two separate rooms for such a modest rate!

My wife,5 year old son and I stayed here for 4 nights in August 07. The price was so much lower than all other La Jolla hotels, I was a little worried about the quality. Afterall, nothing to worry about. Perfect location, short walk to beautiful beach, 10 min. drive to Sea World, 5 minute drive to Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, boardwalk, etc. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Clean rooms, pool area gets the job done. Breakfast not great (muffins & pastries only) but there's a bagel shop across the street. We will certainly be back. I spent alot of time searching hotels in S.D. and was very pleased with my final decision. If you're searching, stop here, trust me.

We went for New Year's '06 and I have to say that the room is extrememly small. Also, it seemed like our hotel room was haunted. We liked the heated pool even though it was very shallow, but for the price it was okay. Also, the workers are very nice, too.
