Would stay there again
I was at this hotel from November 5th, until November 13th, 2005. It was a great hotel for the price. I was in LA for the Screenwriter's Expo held at the LA Convention Center that weekend, and came in to see the last performances at the Matrix Theater of "Honour". I am a friend of one of the performers.
I went to the LA Convention Center, NBC Studios to see "Ellen", Paramount Studios to see a taping of "Out of Practice" with Henry Winkler, the Matrix Theater, and hiking off of Mulholland Drive. The hotel was within 10 and 15 minutes driving time from all of those locations.
There is a small shopping center right across the street, with a grocery store, a Chinese buffet, and a Quisno! You have a small refrigerator in your room, so that works out fine. The breakfast bar only consist of cereal, coffee, toast, and donuts, or Honeybun. That's all. No juice or fancy pastries. You can get that at the grocery store. There is a small diner attached to the hotel that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
All kinds of clothing store in the next block for the ones who like to shop, and I shopped at the Second Chance Closet, which was a second hand clothing store right next door to the hotel. I found more nice clothes for an exceptional bargin. Was in that store everyday. I got 3 skirts, one pair of pants, a sweater, a lace top, and a very nice quilt jacket. All under $6.00. And if you saw me in them, you would think I paid top dollar for them.
The hotel was clean and the service was very nice. It's not a 5 star hotel, so the people who gave this hotel bad reviews wanted a 5 star hotel for a small price.
I never saw one roach or any bugs at any time. The hotel was very clean.
I'm planning on staying here again when I come back for the Screenwriter's convention next year.
Oh, no internet connection for you computer nuts.
