Loved the atmosphere, the hotel was a little far from Fisherman's Wharf, but the value made the taxi cab worth while.... Will stay at this hotel again

This hotel is a very convienent place to stay for the night if you have to catch a flight in the morning out of SFO. It is clean and very nice for the price. The long term parking convenience is the main reason we chose this hotel. The associates were all very professional and helpful.

I loved the Hotel Cosmo as soon as I saw the violet exterior. The welcome we received, especially on our second stay made us feel right at home. I love the "girlie" decor of some of the rooms. The smaller size gives the Cosmo a coziness all its own. The art displays kept us looking for hours. I loved going out early for coffee across the street and watching the city wake up. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. We buy a 3 day Muni pass for $10 and are able to go wherever we choose almost whenever we choose. We met the first woman Cable Car driver in S.F. on one trip which was a treat in itself. Simply park in front and someone will carry your bags and park your car for the duration of your stay; you won't need it. A map of the city, which includes all muni routes, is presented upon arrival. The neighborhood abounds with ethnic restaurants...yum! It's time for another trip down there.

I enjoyed the retro feel and historical vibe throughout the hotel. I felt somewhat cramped in certain areas of the hotel. Maybe it's just the city period, but I prefer more spacing between rooms, buildings, etc... I'd stay there agian if the opportunity arose, due to the location. No need to rent a car unless you plan to sightsee outside of city limits. You're within walking distance of most downtown attractions. If not, public transportation is available.

Price was alright but there was a better deal down the street and we would not have had to pay extra for parking. We rented a car and drove into SF each day and can't really say that I liked the minimal room accomodations. Bathroom very small. Room is roomy but needs more furniture to set stuff on. The hotel lobby had a sign cautioning guests about environmental hazards in the facility. Newly rennovated, it was not really as clean as it could have been especially in the hallways. WE stayed there in June and the computers went down, and the booking thru expedia did not go thru very fast and we had to wait for a room. It was very roomy though. Strange odors were in the halls and room probably from the remodeling. Gift shop has short hours and restaurant has short hours.
