Go to Good Nite Inn instead!!!!
By ,
This hotel room had NO CARPET. Hard cold tile all over. Bathroom nasty. Walls scruffed up badly in need of paint. Galleria Mall Parking Garage noise was ferociously worse than highway noise. Smelt like lysol. It was a last-minute thing, so of course they didn't have the good rate of $53. I paid something like around $80. It's neat looking on the outside, but dont do it. Go to Sylmar Good Nite Inn for much cheaper rate, around $41 great somewhat quiet neighborhood walls painted, nice carpet, and they don't double the rate just because it's last minute.

Cons outweigh Pros
By ,
Summary of negatives: beds are mattresses on plywood - very hard / spartan furnishings / breakfast so minimal as to be absent / erratic Internet that didn't work as often as it worked / overpriced for what you get / locks a little scary since hard to get out / lots of people coming and going which makes it a bit noisy. Very pretty outside - full of flowers. Nice balcony on 2nd floor. Good for families since many two bedroom suites. Clean. Attractive weekly rates, but daily rates outrageous for an old, spartan place. My biggest objection is that they don't have real beds. Mattresses are placed upon plywood platforms making an extremely hard beds. I slept on a captain's bed in my dorm room at college with no problem, which may explain why the clientelle here tends to be young. Also, the plywood was not finished and twice, I cut my leg on the rough edges. The Internet doesn't work as often as it works. This was not only my problem since I saw other people walking to the office with their laptops to get help. They advertise breakfast but it is extremely minimal: coffee (regular only no decaf), white bread, peanut butter and jelly, sugary orangeade, sugar only (no diet sweetener). There is a microwave and toaster available. I made hot water for tea by dumping the coffee and running water through, but I had to provide my own tea bags. Unlike almost every motel in the country, there was no coffee maker in the room. There was a refrigerator. Furnishings were extremely minimal. The appearance is like an old dormroom when you walk in. There was no bed table - only a small (and I mean small) shelf. The 2nd bedroom had no bed light. Outlets were iffy - not all worked. Heating/air unit was new and effecient. The bathroom had modern fixtures. The location is good - it is near where two highways intersect and off a major commercial street with many restaurants walking distance. There seemed to be young people constantly coming and going, which made feel a bit uncomfortable since some of them had that baggy look: it made me worry that there might have been illegal activity going on, but they just might have been having a party. There were also families with children. Drugstores and supermarkets are a short drive away. There is nothing of tourist interest nearby, this is a suburban area over the mountains from Los Angeles proper, but there are many things 1/2 hour away if it is not a time of heavy traffic when all bets are off. I would recommend the Comfort Inn in Woodland hills, also right off the highway, where the prices are actually a bit lower, and you get real beds, a modern room, and a very good breakfast. This place is only if you need to be right off the 405 and don't want breakfast, Internet, or bed springs.

Highly Recommend
By ,
The motel is attractive, in a great area next to Galleria Mall, walking distance of restaurants, movie-theater and other enjoyable activities. Safe, clean, affordable price and lots of flowers just like a garden. I will highly recommend this motel for friends and relatives coming to this area.

Enjoyed my stay there
By ,
The location is very convenient, right next to the 405 and 101. A movie theatre and shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and neat, I liked the balcony where I could chat and it's view to the parking lot and street.

never going back
By ,
this place was filthy, outside looked cute and quaint, got the room the complete opposite. Also the room price was no where near 64.00 more like 100. The staff was rude, when complaining the sheets were dirty they basically said next time dont stay here, and trust me I wont.

great for a street walker or crack user
By ,
The people who run it hardly speak any english, they change the prices depending on who is staying, I stayed here a month ago, I have a friend in the area and the last time I stayed it was 64.00 a night seemed reasonable the place seemed quaint, however we had an odd room with a mirror in the bathtub/shower, and the room was behind the office, seemed like the last room available however not a bad experience. This time staying the room was fithy the staff unfriendly and not helpful, I was so sickened to find a molded cucumber in one of the drawers, I dont even want to know why or how long it had been there. The outside was noisy from 7am till 4 or even 5 am, seemed like all hours of the night people were out talking loudly and running up and down the stairs, and then again early in the morning, not to mention this time I stayed I got charged 80.00. So if you walk the streets or need a place to use your drugs you might be able to make new friends here, provided you get the 64.00 not the 80.00. P.s. The net doesnt work 80% of the time either.

See ya soon!! The rooms are fabalous but when u request a certain kind or one it always depends on who is working if they want to give you what ur looking for!!
By ,
Loved the place just the price says $64 and its always alot more or different all the time other then that love it. The location is fabalous couldn't be better. You allow pets we always get harrassed and told no pets but it states pets allowed, need to figure that one out or not to discriminate

Plan Ahead
By ,
It was a three day weekend and and some buddy's and I decied to go to Santa Monica, thae year was 2001. We made the mistake not to book a place to stay so we had the unfortunate experience os staying at hte 777 Motor Inn. The reason that we did not approve off the motor inn was for two major reasons. First off it did not seem to be a clean establishement. I went as far as to shower in my flip-flops. Secondly other than being next to the free eay there is not a whole lot around it, just restaurants off which few ar e worth the wait.
