Very Nice

Very relaxing, room was clean and comfortable. We got a partial ocean view but I would not recomend that for the money. We could only see the ocean from one corner of our balconey. The staff was helpful and nice. If you go make sure you check out the deck on the third floor.

Perfect Get-a-way

We had a wonderful time. We had a room with a view of the beach. The service was great. Our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location was great. We particularly appreciated the little walkway to restaurants and the pier.

A breath of fresh air!

I have stayed at the Sandcastle Inn about a month ago... in August. What a treat...3rd floor with my own balcony to prop my feet up on and watch the sunset...or the pelicans in the early morning. The waffles for the included breakfast were divine..huge thick and a fun machine to make it yourself..took about 2 min. Great service and they told me when the low tide would be for a great walk! I really appreciated the *parking* ticket in my window so I would have a place to park each day; it was not taken over by avid beach goers! I will go back...would love to see it in a storm! I even drove back on Hwy 1 to San Jose...just the best time. It is soooo close for a good weekend get away..I will do it again!

We couldn't have been happier

The room was immaculate. The service was excellent. The view was amazing. We had to leave another hotel due to unliveable conditions, and were afraid we wouldn't find any vacancies. The staff was very reasonable and flexible with the rates. We will definately go here again.

Great view - sad service

When we arrived, our Non-Smoking room reeked of fresh cigarette smoke, it was still in the air. When we asked to switch rooms, the night clerk (between naps)wasn't very helpful.

My Escape

This is a wonderful place to stay and they even allow pets. When I want to get away, it's the first place my husband and I think of. Being right on the ocean, the waves lull you to sleep, having a view of the pier is great. I could go on. I love to go to the Sandcastle Inn. Thank you, Janet Denis

Nice view, great location, beware of air conditioning

I like the location and the view, but having no air conditioning in the room was a real drag. We had to leave the door and window open to let in some cool air. If they installed air conditioning in the main hotel it would be a great hotel. The only reason it gets two stars is for the location and view. Otherwise it would be a -5.
