Petersen Village Inn, Solvang

I was excited bringing my family to Solvang for our most awaited long weekend and was proud to tell them that we are staying to a very nice Inn in the area. But to my disappointments, as well as my family, we were not able to sleep well in two nights because of the warm temperature in the room. The hotel maintenance the next day pushed a button at the thermostat and said now it fixed. During the next evening, we all could not sleep because again of the uncomfortable room temperature. I called the front desk at 3:00AM and no one answered the calls. We were placed in a room behind the main building, thus I have to walk outside our building and walk through the parking lot to go to the front desk so I decided not to, instead we just opened up all the windows. But it was worst because there is an equipment above our room that runs very loud. It was a very uncomfortable stay for a very expensive inn in the area

With out a dout the best hotel in solvang, wonderful food , helpful and friendly staff. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful Hotel this is the place. Nice quait dining room with great food at a good price. We always look foward to staying here we we visit solvang becaue we can be assured of a restful night and a wonderfull dining experince.

Checked in after spending the afternoon at a wedding, and was hoping to sit back and relax. I was hungry at the time of check in, and asked the bellman if there were any pizza delivery places. He advised me that there was a Dominos Pizza, so I called and placed an order. Thirty minutes later I received a phone call from the Dominos. Apparently some time between placing my order and the telephone call, the hotel had decided that Dominos was off limits to its guests. This, despite the fact that the hotels employee had advised about the Dominos. To make matters worse, the hotel did not provide room service, and the restaurant had stopped seating an hour before. In addition to this experince, the room smelled like a mildewy basement and was poorly furnished. I would not recommend this to anyone, unless of course they were a fascist!

My wife and I stayed two nights abd we both loved the ambiance and character of this hotel! Found the hotel staff very helpful and professional, the food was stellar and the rooms were very comfortable with 90+ degree days. Many shops and wine tasting rooms within 150 yards walk. Some reviews we read were downbeat, but we didn't see anything but a wonderful time! We heartily recommend staying at the Petersen!

My husband and I go to the hotel, usually two or three times a year. It is lovely, and unlike the previous writer, we have experienced nothing but wonderful service. Yes, there is wall paper, but it is part of the theme decor, and I have never seen any of it peeling. It is so clean and everytime we have been there we have seen at least three people polishing the wood side boards in the halls. The beds are so comfortable, with five down pillows. We have had rooms on the courtyard which is lovely, and rooms facing the street. As Sovang pretty much rolls up the streets at 7pm, we have never been bothered by noice. The dinners are wonderful. Free coffee, tea or cocoa brought to our room on request. I hope the disgruntled folks try the hotel again, they may have just been in a poor mood when they left home.

We loved it! The rooms were beautiful, the Danish pasteries out of this world, and the food in the cafe wonderful. We also had good service and loved the cute little shops within walking distance just off the courtyard.
