Shuttle was Late, Slow and Left Me Stranded!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/09
The hotel room was very difficult to find and the hallway lacked clear signage. There was no courtesy phone on the floor to contact the front desk leaving guests on their own to figure out where the room is or making them lug back to the desk with their luggage to obtain clear directions. In the morning the shuttle was frequently late and no-showed on several occasions. The staff told me this was because the worker assigned to drive the shuttle, who was supposed to begin work at 6:30am, was often late for work meaning there was no shuttle service at 7:00am as promised at check-in. The poor shuttle service posed a terrible inconvenience as a guest. And the hotel does not post a sign or tell their guests on the days when the shuttle is unilaterally taken out of service, which is done without any notice to the hotel's guests and has left me hanging in limbo at the Bart Station on more then one occasion, forced to walk the 45-minutes back to the hotel when I could not get a cab. The shuttle service is extremely poor and completely unreliable if you need to maintain any reasonable semblance of a schedule and is operated in a manner unbecoming of a hotel. One young employee drove the shuttle so fast that I would not ride with him again and appeared to be in hurry to get back to the hotel and earn more tips from the valet service. The hotel really needs a dedicated shuttle driver rather then splitting up with valet staff with this "burden" and needs to focus adequate resources in their operations to ensure that other guests are not left stranded at the Bart Station on multiple occasions.
