Wouldn't stay again
By Delain, 9/30/10
I read several reviews that were very good prior to making a reservation. The inn is small which I don't mind. The rooms are nice but on the old side. However, the window air conditioning units are very loud making it hard to sleep. Breakfast is a joke. They have waffles and that's about it. Fruit consisted of old bananas and fruit cups. Cookies are store bought. I was here on business but will stay somewhere else next time I come.

JUST OK
By Carla, 4/21/09
Need somewhere to stay close to Cal Poly? This is within walking distance. Staff is very nice and for the most part so are the accomodations. From the pictures I thought the place was a lot larger than it is. Very cramped lobby especially when someone is checking in while others are getting a cookie. It's difficult to navagate your way thru the lobby to the hall with your luggage in tow. Room was smaller than anticapated but neat and fairly clean ( the wall heated/air conditioner was old and dirty) Our room was located on first floor. We could hear water noises every time another rooms toilet was flushed or shower, tub or sinks were filled and drained. (We could even hear someone going to the bathroom) for this reason alone we were not pleased. Might have been quieter had we been on an upper floor??? Not sure.

Great Value!
By M, 9/23/08
Stayed at La Cuesta one night while moving my daughter to school. I was very pleased with the accomodations and will definitely stay there again. Front desk staff was very efficient and pleasant. The bed was comfortable. The room had 3 chairs, which was appreciated. Also had four lamps. Bathroom looked like it was updated recently, with nice vanity top, new tile floor and shower head. Towels were fluffy. A nice touch was the little rubber duck that was sitting on the folded bathmat when I opened the shower curtain. Definitely made me smile. There was an I-Home clock radio. Continental breakfast had many choices, though nothing unusual, and they serve tea and cookies from 3-6 in the afternoon. Seemed like they paid a lot of attention to detail for a hotel in this price range.

May or may not return

Service was good but the place needs to modernize a bit. Drab carpeting and room furniture but clean & a good value.

This is the only place I stay in SLO. Convenient, clean, big rooms; an all over great value.
