We stayed here during a visit to our daughter and son in law on the birth of our first grandchild. Rooms were clean, grounds were immaculate, security was never a question, staff was friendly and helpful. On the second night my wife suffered an attack of bronchial pneumonia. After I called the main desk, Jimmie the security guy was there within seconds, showing great concern and care. We called 911, and the ambulance was there within maybe two minutes. Everyone was friendly, caring and professional. Not only will I stay here again, I will seek them out when I return to Long Beach, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else at any price. THANK YOU, Comfort Inn. You were our greatest friend in time of need.

It is going to be one year on 12/31/09 that I booked a room at this hotel. Not only is it New Years, but it is also my birthday. This was the 2nd year in a row that I would be staying here as I live 45 miles away, and my best friend was throwing me another birthday party. I checked in, sprayed the room with Lisol and went to dinner with my fiance. I started to feel terribly ill after dinner and had to check out of the hotel one hour later. I went straight home and then had to go to the doctor. I have made numerous calls and written emails to the manager asking for a partial refund or a credit for this year as I would stay there again. When he does get on the phone, he keeps saying he will call me back...one year later and I still haven't heard from him!!!

I and the family had to go down to Long Beach for a family wedding.Although we looked forward to the wedding, we hate the L.A. area and this was the first time we ever had to stay there. My brother recommended one place but the reviews I read about his choice were bad. So I did my own research and found this place. They had queen beds where most had full size for the same or less money. This was better because we had 5 people and could use one room with a rollaway instead of two rooms.We got there at night and were not real impressed with the location. Upon checking into the room we found the it to be spacious, clean and had VERY comfortable beds. It even had a microwave,which I haven't found in many places we've stayed. Upon driving around the next day. I liked the fact that everything was within walking distance to it (Church chicken, BK, Carls,MacDs, Taco Bell,CVS, Albertsons, and many others). They have a GREAT continentel breakfast.My kids loved the waffle maker they had and you got to serve yourself and did not have to leave a tip like in most places I've been to. When I told people there where we were staying. They said it was not a good area. But my sister & her husband stayed where my brother recommended and told me about a motorcycle group having a kegger party in their parking lot. Although I don't expect to have to stay over in the L.A. area again. I would definitly recommend this place to anyone having to stay there.

We are Canadians in transit for a cruise and tried to book a room at this Comfort Inn at E. Willoe St. What I like in this place is the service extended to us. Staff are generally courteous and friendly. Cleanliness and room maintenance is excellent. The maintenace personnel with name tagged as Allen had been very helpful and accomodating to all residents as I have seen. The place is well maintained generally with the exception of a day I noticed that garbage have been filling the containers and nobody seems to bother to take it away. When I asked who needs to empty the garbage? I got a respond that it is the maintenance man but at the same time I learned that the man is off that day. I only think that this is something the management should address. On the other hand our stay in general is exceptionally an experience that we would think of returning when back to LA. The expereince was fun and relaxing. I would be proud to recommend to families and friends. We have no regret in our first time expeereience. Expected to be a repeat customer.

Being a former resident of LB I had my doubts about the location of the hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised that the hotel and surrounding area were quiet, well maintained, nicely landscaped, and I felt very safe inside the locked gates at night. The stores in the immediate area are new and very convenient. There are a lot of restaurants on the corner also. The hotel staff was friendly and we were upgraded to a larger room when we checked in. The room was very clean and had new furniture and the bed was very comfortable. We had a nice kitchenette with fridge, two burner cooking elements and a microwave and sink.The bathroom was also very clean and since the hotel was renovated every fixture was new. We also enjoyed the breakfast which is a standard complimentary hotel breakfast but very fresh food and enjoyable. The hotel was better than I expected and I am sure we will stay there again when we visit our family again.

The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is wonderful. The room was very big and it was quite inside. Close to Albertson's, CVS Pharmacy, Rite-Aide, Walgreen's, fast food places and best of all walking distance to the Blue Line to downtown Los Angeles and downtown Long Beach.

This hotel is a very beautiful and relaxing hotel. The view is nice with all the banana trees, flowers and palm trees. The rooms are very nice, we stayed at two different rooms, the room with the balcony is very romantic, and so is the jacuzzi room. I plan on staying there every chance i get when i'm in long beach.

Very comfortable hotel, clean, and very helpful & friendly staff. Nice pool and beautiful landscaping. I would love to spend a few more nights at this place, and will next time I am in Long Beach.

We had a great stay here. The hotel service was A+++, the front desk people are so nice and very helpful. Our room was so very clean and the bathroom was great (clean). The pool was fun for us and our daughter. The king size bed was very comfortable, my son said the sofa bed wasn't to bad either. He very fussy when it comes to sleeping, (teenager). It was nice a great location, close to a grocery store and other shops, eats, etc. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Once again the front desk help was GREAT!!!!!!
