Vagabond Inn Midtown, Sacramento

I checked in and the clerk mistakingly authorized one night on my CC whereas it should be two. When I pointed it out he then went ahead and authorized two more nights. Three days later my bank is still holding both charges and I've made several attempts to contact the mgmt at this location but cannot get them to return my calls. I tried their corporate 'guest relations dept' which is an answering machine and their main website is down. Not only this but during my short stay only one of four lamps had working bulbs, we realized as I was leaving for an appointment that the lock to my door was broken and didn't work, etc, etc. Worst place I've ever stayed period, I'm still trying to get in touch with someone just to get money back they mistakingly charged me. Do not stay here unless you want problems and no management at all. It's the worst.

This motel is awful. We stayed for one night and never felt safe. The door looked like it had been recently repaired after being broken into. We slept (very lightly) with a chair propped up againt the door. It was very loud all night long with people coming and going.There were a lot of transient (homeless) people hanging around. We had a pile of empty beer bottles outside outr room when we checked in. The "breakfast" in the morning was a few old cheese danish and some fruit. We could not give my daughter a bath because the stopper didn't work, not that I would have let her bathe there since it looked unclean. We found other motels/hotels a few miles away that charged a bit more but would be worth the extra money. Nothing bad happened to us during our stay so I feel we were lucky. I felt the need to write this review to keep others from making the same mistake we did.

I really enjoyed the location. The staff was very nice. For the price I would stay again. The breakfast in the mornings could use some improvement, but overall I had a nice stay.

there is a new manager and she is great the landscaping is very nice and the outside is clean. the down fall is the person in the morning is very rude and forcefull and the outside doos don't lock. other than that this is a great place for the price and everytime i stay it gets better!!!

We have stayed here twice. both times was great. Love the location just blocks from Old Sac and the capital mall. It is dated but has a great pool and nice staff.

Nice place for the money. Not much of a continental breakfast though. Dirty bed spreads. Ok location but takes some walking to get to downtown.

it was near the hospital, that's why I was there. the room was ok, the carpet was filty and if you did not wear something on your feet it was dirty and sticky,frig and Microwwave was not pluged in and cord would not reach to plug, the bathtub would not drain, bed was ok and seemed to be clean? I hope!

We stayed only one night, lots of homeless walking around parking lot, graffiti and broken entrance doors. Horrible cat urine smell throughout inside hallway. They cleaned the carpet before we got there the rooms was soaking wet and they refused to move us. The fan in the bathroom was broken and loud. I would not recommend staying at this location ever, not a safe location.

front desk personal is rude aguementavive lier discrentional this is the 10th ten or so staying here but this maybe the last because of her aproach i was her just last week. the young lady that was there about 9 was great

I did not like the overpowering smell of room deorderizer. The bathroom sink had no stopper. I lost a gold earring down the drain. The maintenance person managed to get it out. Noone has taken the time to mail it back to me yet. I have requested that it be mailed. The bed was comfortable.
