Will be pretty despirate to stay here again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/10
Flew in to San Jose 12/13/10. I chose the San Jose Airport Garden Inn based on reviews and pictures found on line. Hotel is located convenient to airport and room was clean for it's age. The positives stop there. Staff was very straight forward and cold. The room was relatively clean, but halls and entrances were rough. The room above me sounded as if it were occupied by someone weighing 500lbs. Every time they walked it sounded as if they were coming through the ceiling, to the point of the walls vibrating. The building that I was in had the first floor being remodeled. I was on the second floor and unfortunately the room they were working on was directly under me. At 8:00am the hammering, sawing and sanding started. I understand if they need to update, but there are multiple buildings here, don't put folks in the rooms close to the ones being redone. I will be staying in San Jose again tomorrow night and needless to say I will not be staying at the Airport Garden Inn. I definitely would not recommend to others in it's current state.

SMOKING Fast Internet
By M R, 10/26/09
I am always a little leery of my Priceline hotel reservations, but this stay was a very pleasant surprise. The Holiday Inn San Jose is located right at the intersection of the 101 and I-880, but I do not remember being bothered by traffic noise. It is also only a few short minutes from the San Jose Airport - no accessing the highway or interstate required. The Metro trolley station is right out front to whisk you into downtown (where my conference was) so you can avoid the $18 per day parking charge. There are an assortment of places to eat across the street (in addition to the restaurant in the hotel, sorry Holiday Inn, I didn't eat there so I can't attest to its quality!) and PLENTY more within minutes if you have a car. The king-size bed was comfortable, the towels were fluffy, a fridge would have been nice, but the internet connection was awesome! I have stayed a night or three in hotels over the past few years, everywhere from San Antonio, to Minneapolis, to Kansas City, to Seattle, and the list goes on, but the high speed WIRELESS connection here was incredibly fast. Pages loaded almost instantly. Bravo to the IT guy!

Wouldn't return
By anonymous, 9/27/09
When I arrived I had to wait for two other guests to check in even though I saw a clerk doing nothing not far away, who finally started helping right after I was being helped elsewhere. The hotel room at first look wasn't too bad, but then I noticed the used soap in the bathroom the hole in the bathroom door and the floor didn't look like it had been cleaned in awhile. I lost my cell signal everytime I got within 5 feet of my building door and when I called the front desk to see how much long distance was the clerk had no idea and suggested that I not use it because "It's a rip off." It was right next to the highway without having to hear the noise as long as I didn't open the window. The air would have worked better if it hadn't been placed in a corner of the room. The kicker was the $50 pet fee that was listed at $20 when I booked. On the plus side the internet was wireless and fairly speedy.

Great Stay Again
By Thomas, 9/11/09
Close to major highways and the airport. Not the very best neighborhood but not many airport hotels are. Room and bed were very clean and comfortable. High speed internet access is free and works very well. Hot tub was clean and nice and hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I arrived early and there was a room available but it was on the second floor and there are no elevators. They had my first floor room ready by their posted check in time. Air conditioner worked very well (it was in the low 90's) and was simple to operate. The hotel food was very good and I had breakfast there 6 out of the 7 days I stayed. I would recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone staying near SJC.

Pretty nice place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/09
This is an older hotel but was recently renovated. The rooms are small but clean and the beds are really comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are great. The pool is nice as well as the hot tub. I like the fact that a lot of the rooms have sliding glass doors which on a nice day is great. The walls are a bit thin and for about 20 minutes mid evening I listened to the couple next door make love. Quite interesting noises but all in all a good deal and a nice place. I would stay there again.

Horrible Experience
By Serpent's Kiss, 3/12/09
We booked this hotel for an business convention we attend every year. When we called to confirm our reservation, we were told our reservation was cancelled. We asked by whom? They said the hotel and their was no explanation. We had to scramble last minute to find another place which we did but it cost more. We got our credit card bill and they had charged us!!! The Manager refused to credit. They were rude bordering on hostile. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Be prepared
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/09
I was blessed with being stuck in one of the many outbuildings. The main door did not close properly, the stairway smelled like subways I have been in before! The room was basically falling apart. While the bed was fine and free internet worked great, there are too many other issues to overlook. When I arrived the staff was less than friendly......perhaps they did not speak english. Horrible place unless you are looking for an urban camping experience.

Would stay again for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/1/08
We stayed at this Hotel for 2 nights. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel room is clean and there is free parking. One of the hall lights in our room was flickering. We called and maintenance came right away and changed the light bulb. We bought purchased our stay through Priceline and got the room for $50 night. We would stay again for that price. There is no refrigerator or microwave. The charge for a refrigerator was $10.00 per night. We ate elsewhere so we can't comment on the restaurant at the Hotel.

EXCELLENT!
By Sanas, 5/23/08
We stayed here before when it was a Hyatt and again as a Holiday Inn. Only difference--the name and the price(much cheaper!). Everything else is the same--excellent service, outgoing staff, clean rooms. Will definitely stay here again....
