Huntley Santa Monica Beach, Santa Monica

I was on a rewards trip from my company as a bonus and after some research decided to stay here primarily because of the great location as it's super close to the promenade and ocean. The bed and pillows were great! and the bathroom toiletries and size was also good. However the Internet set up was not easy to activate and I had to call the front desk several times to get it working (once it worked it was good, at least). The TV was nice and large, although the selection of channels didn't seem too great. The fact that there's only valet parking is a little annoying, but our car was always available quickly. I requested a fridge for an extra $10/night, which worked well, but was strangely sticking out from the wall and covered with dust. We stayed on the 3rd floor away from the noise of the club, but there were still loud party goers on our floor. I'll give the hotel credit, though, security did come up to tell them to be quiet several times. Overall the stay was good, but the "boutiqueness" of the hotel could've been a little better given the price.

The hotel look more like an officer bldg, but once inside our room it was great ! Rom was clean, modern, and had everything you need. The top floor bar" Penthouse" was great, a little expensive but the view was worth it ! We were able to walk to the beach, shopping, and the pier... The cost is up there, but hey your in Santa Monica...

I've just returned from 3 nights at The Huntley. It was one of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of visiting, and I have travelled the world. From the time I checked in to moment of reluctant departure my stay at The Huntley was among the best I've enjoyed, making for a very positive visit to this shining city. The hotel's chic decor and cleanliness will be long remembered. Each staff member I encountered was polite and competent, and a few went out of their way to help me with last-minute requests. My room on the 7th. floor had a sweeping view of the neighborhood and the ocean. The bed was very comfortable, the room well-appointed. The Penthouse Restaurant was a lot of fun on my final night. It's a locals hangout, something I strive to see when traveling. The food and service exceeded my expectations. I will be returning to Santa Monica again in 2008 and look forward to booking with The Huntley. Its location puts you close to shopping, entertainment, business and of course, the beach. The neighborhood is a charming mix of business and residential properties.

The Huntley in Santa Monica is very convenient to all that the city has to offer. But, the hotel is so poorly managed and run that the adage about location being everything does not count when it comes to this property. One gets the impression that management looks at guest services and amenities as a bothersome cost that interferes with the real business of increasing revenues. Want a cup of coffee before your morning walk or jog? Wait on line at the kiosk and pay for it. Want your room clean and hospitable? Try to sleep in a room that was prepared without appropriate supervision much less a caring attitude. Speaking of sleeping, bring ear plugs because the walls are so thin you hear every sound in the adjacent, above and below rooms. There are much better places to stay (at more reasonable prices) in Santa Monica.

This place is so focused on being a hip night spot that they forgot to provide the basics of a decent upscale hotel. I can live with the moody lighting, the aloof personnel and the scary '60s furniture in the lobby, but I expect some amenities in this price range. The room is nothing special--standard Pottery Barn decor (with the stickers to prove it),the bathroom is spartan, there's no coffee maker, internet is 10 bucks a day, and there's no swimming pool. To add insult to injury, the always-satisfying Fairmont Miramar is right across the street, just to remind you what a great hotel can be.

I usually only stay at 5 star hotels, but we stayed here for a wedding. We had to immediately change room because we only had a shower and no tub. It was a little too contemporary for my taste. The hallway was extremely dark and the carpet looked old and worn. The location was great, but I'll try another hotel next time.

Everything was outstanding.... great place to stay at! This place is compleatly lovable. great suits to stay in. great food an d room service. very afordable and worth yur money.

This hotel is obviously not made to accomodate a business traveler. I had to make a late reservation and then attempted to cancel within 5 hours of having made the reservation and found out that the hotel has a "very strict" cancellation policy. Apparently, getting paid for one night I did not stay at the hotel was more important to the Huntley than obtaining my future business!

With only one elevator (a slow one), it takes you forever to get to your room. Room was not that great, and the lobby was pretty funky. We went to get something out of our car and we noticed that all the cars were left unlocked while in valet...anyone could go take something! However the location was great.

When i stayed in the radisson huntly in santa monica, it had to be one of the best experiences of my life.It is right along the side the beach and is just a little bit away from the main cbd.It is extremely clean and has a great number of eligable, friendly and great serviced staff!!! i cant wait to go back again this year!!!!!!!
