Luxe City Center Hotel, Los Angeles

The parking was conveniant and safe. It is accross the street from the Staples center so it was perfect for going to the Laker's game. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The room was big and comfortable. I can't wait to stay there again. Roomservice was fast and friendly too!!

My parents booked a room at Holiday Inn, City Center to avoid driving late at night following a Staples Center event. The keys that the surly and rude clerk gave to them to their room, however, did not work. The second set that the clerk gave to them also did not work. About 45 minutes later, the clerk, clearly irritated, then had security assist them for the third attempt; security was also unable to open the room. It turns out that the room that they were trying to open already had an occupant who was very frightened and alarmed at the commotion! The Holiday Inn did not help my parents into another room, and did not apologize. I have tried to speak with at least 3 managers at the hotel who refuse to return phone calls. This place should be avoided.

I made a reservation through Holiday Inn's website last fall for a convention this summer and recieved a confirmation email. Found out a few weeks ago that the hotel canceled my reservation and did not inform me, either by phone or email. Only found out now by happening to call to confirm. Would have been bad to show up and only be told then that they decided to cancel my reservation without telling me. Hotel staff was rude and didn't even call to explain when they said that they would. I would never make a reservation with a hotel that may decide at any time to cancel it and not tell me.

The rooms are actually quite a bit larger than most, however I believe what they traded for room size was amenities. For example, no refrigerators, few towels, and information about Los Angeles was minimal. I had stayed here a few years ago and while the rooms were a bit smaller, the amenities were superior. I was disappointed that I couldn't find more information about the surrounding area (attractions, restaurants, etc).

The costumer service is very poor. If we will ask the customer service representative a question they cannot give us the right answer. They keeping passing the phone to the other representative if they cannot answer my question. The last representative that i talk was very rude she was arguing with me. This is not our first time staying at Holiday Inn we've been to different staying and this is our first time in Holiday Inn L.A. and we are very disappointed.

If you are going to universal hollywood, this is the hotel for you. The service is great, and it is extremly close. It is in a good area, too. The pool is enourmous, and there are no trees around, so you get a lot of sun. The fitness room has 4 (I believe) treadmills, and 4 weightlifiting sets. Overall, a great hotel.

I was attending a conference at the Convention Center and the location of this hotel couldn't have been better. Everything else about the hotel was pretty average, but I would stay there again in a heart beat if I needed to be close to the Staples Center or Convention Center.

i like the view and i like the people they are nice to talk too and theyare very alert.Is also locate in a nice neghtboir hood.
