Motel 6 Cal Expo Sacramento, Sacramento

Found one of these nasty little red bugs on the comforter. So, I moved to the other bed hoping it was better. I should have known better. The second bed had the red bugs in the sheets as i shook them out and in the pillows. I'll never be back to this property

I suppose my first mistake was asking for a smoking room.Upon entering my room i was horrified.The room smelled terrible,carpet was disgusting,furniture looked like it was pulled from a dumpster,stains on the pillowcase as well as pillow,the airconditioning did not work,there was no screen in the window,toilet was very unstable,there was mold on the bathroom ceiling.I probably would have found other things wrong but the pubic hairs under the blankets and in the bathroom repelled me from the room.The girl at the checkin counter was difficult.She told me i had already been in the room 30 minutes.LOL I told her i had spent 15 minutes with her 10 minutes driving around to the room and unpacking.I couldnt stand being in that room more tha a few minutes but i was trying to tough it out.She then told me they would send a maintenance man over to look at the airconditioning. After demanding a new room three or four times i finally got a non smoking room that was tolerable.I would have slept in my rental car for two days before sleeping in that first room offered to me.The price was right but on fear factor they pay you.

This was the WORST Motel I have ever stayed at!! Every member of the staff including the Manager treated us horribly. This Motel is in a really bad neighborhood. 3 of my tires on my car were slashed at 3:00 in the morning while the Security guard stood there and watched while smoking a cigeratte. There was also 3 cars full of kids drinking in the parking lot until after 3 in the morning and a pitbull barking all night long. Most of the people that stay there, live there. And to top it off, we witnessed several men that were staying there, asking for prostitution and trying to get 2 girls into their room. We learned after staying there, that this Motel has several police calls and cars broken into all the time. The hotel did not compensate anything nor did they care at all about what had happened. When we were in the lobby, 3 other people were complaning about their stay as well. A woman and her son were leaving after 2 hours complaining they did not feel safe there. I DO NOT recommend this Motel to anyone and advise that you stay at a better hotel in the area.

I didn't pick this hotel due to the price, I was looking for an affordable hotel with good recommendations. I went with it due to the 4 star rating on this site. Although not expecting the Hyatt, I wasn't prepared for no amenitites! One bar of soap! That's it. There wasn't even an alarm clock. I couldn't even call for a wake up call as the phone didn't work. We were, however, wakened up to guest outside our door in the gazebo who had a lengthy and loud conversation on the phone. Although the staff that checked me in was very nice, the security guard recommended that I take anything electronic out of the car, as they have only been broken in 3 times and all had GPS's taken. I did appreciate the advice, but the fact they had break-ins was disconcerting. Other than these items, the hotel was clean and it was walking distance to the movies and restaurants. Also the walls are very thin.

The front desk personel were rude and just ignored us while talking on the phone. The Location is great within walking distance to many restaraunts. Also the landscaping and yard were very well kept. Nice places to sit outside and read. The pool was dirty the hot tub was clean. Room was good sized and the air conditioner was in need of a "tune up" because it worked but barley. You could not check in until 3pm but you had to check out at 12?!we gice vagabond inn a c+

This was a great Hotel! We booked a group with the Sales Manager and got a really good deal! Our stay was very relaxing, we went swimming in the heated pool, and the breakfast has "make your own waffles"! The staff was friendly, and our keys and rooms were ready when we checked in ( and we early). This Hotel has everything within walking distance, and it has just been updated, way nice, great price.

First time in Sacramento and I was there to visit a sick friend. Being an older lady traveling alone, I wanted safety, cleanliness and comfort. Everything was just right. I got in late in the evening and there was coffee and cookies in the lobby and Internet access! The room felt like a mini-suite having queensize bed, refrig, microwave, coffeemaker and a couch. Yes, breakfast is a real treat.

I liked the grounds they were very well kept and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.

I stayed here for two weeks while on a business trip. Overall impression is of a nice BUSY hotel. Emphasis on BUSY because it is and a significant percentage of visitors tend to be under the age of 21 so it can occasionally be a little loud. Probably attracted by the nice heated pool and spa. Rooms were very clean and stayed that way over the course of my two weeks. Not the best hotel I've ever stayed at but I would recommend it. Bring your swimsuit though!
