5 reviews for El Prado Inn Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara
Won't Stay anywhere Else in SB!
By Janis, 07/04/07
Large Rooms, very clean. Inn is perfect size, not so large that it's impersonal. Lobby Staff always helpful & friendly, no matter what time of night you come in. And then there's the resident lobby cat! Love him!

Simple cheap hotel near downtown
By Fiona, 11/27/05
The El Prado Inn is certainly nothing fancy, but if you want an inexpensive, functional, well located hotel, then the El Prado Inn is for you. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. Easy walk to downtown shops/sights/restaurants. Definitely a great hotel if you're on a budget.

Functional and cozy.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/05
Cons: The room was small & lacked personality. Lots of noise from above. Pros: The room was spotlessly clean. Everything worked. New paint and furniture. Service was very good. The El Prado is in an excellent location for just about everything, including a small grocery store with a deli across the side street. Very nice pool and lobby. Other reviews advise poolside rooms, but we faced State Street with very little noise. Get the top floor if at all possible. Not cheap (mid-May) but compared to other places, a good deal.

Nice, Cozy Place to Stay!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/05
El Prado Inn was GREAT! It was inexpensive and it was a good deal compared to all the other motels/inns that I checked out. We took the amtrak and walked 1.36 miles to El Prado Inn(if you are not a walker then catch the shuttle 25cents =D ) We got there and the front desk clerks had great cusomter service, they allowed us to leave our luggage there while we went out to explore and wait for our room(we arrived a little earlier then check-in time) In the mornings they served in the lobby juice, coffee, tea, cookies, muffins, danishes for all you early birds (it was yummy!)They have a pool (which we did not go in to but looked nice)The room-nice and cozy and restroom- very clean. But If you like to stay at hotels where they have egyptian cotton bed spreads and big huge bathrooms then this isnt the place...but I do recommend this place if you just want to be cozy and inexpensive! We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again for our next visit to Santa Barbara.

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/04
Other than a few cosmetic needs, the place was great. I loved the huge lobby with the big tv and lovely seating/eating area. The complimentary coffee/juice bar was very good with excellent pastries. My only complaint here was that the coffee could have been better. The room was perfectly clean and had a fridge and coffee maker. With my AAA and UCSB discount, the price was awesome and left me with lots of money to spend on more important things. The staff was friendly and competent. I would stay here again.
