Nightmare
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/7/10
At all hours of the night there were cheerleaders and football players as well as adults running up and down the halls. This lasted all night and the hotel management didn't care or do anything about. Also the room we were assigned to was so bad they had to give us another. Never again.

Horrible Experience
By Lawson, 4/12/09
I was moved to three rooms in 2 hours. In the first room their was public hair on the toilet and in the tub, and hair all over the couch , which looked like dog hair which I'm allergic to. The second room I could unlock the door and the light didn't work. After all of this we had a room in the same building as the reception desk, this room was much nicer, but the rack fell off the wall and the toilet was running when I got there so they sent someone to fix it. I can't believe we had so many problems. I don't recommend this hotel....

Very Nice Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/28/08
I returned home today after staying here for two nights. My only complaint is that the A/C compressor in room 372 made the A/C have a loud rattle. When the fan was on by itself, it was quiet. Otherwise it was clean and confortable.

Won't stay here again!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/07
It is now a Ramada. We were told the rooms were remodeled. Not so! Our room was not only dirty (LARGE cob webs in the corners) but the toilet seat was broken (that was interesting to say the least), cigarette stains on the bathtub (non-smoking room), dirty bedspread and loose faucets in our son’s room. We also had no water pressure in the shower yet in our son’s room you could be blasted out of the room! Remodeling or not...Rooms should be clean! Since other people have complained, couldn’t the Ramada automatically place customers in the newer tower to avoid complaints till all the remodeling was complete??? Lastly, the lady at the desk was “indifferent” about the situation. The CHP Academy has listed this hotel as one of the places to stay for our future cadets and their families right before they enter the Academy. Wouldn’t it be nice to at least offer them a small discount for staying there? I’m very unhappy and plan to call the corporate office. Oh yes, the lobby advertises trip reward cards to build up points…..SURPRISE… No forms or cards available to receive points.

Be careful if you have to cancel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/07
When I called and cancelled, the girl "Crystal" couldn't find my reservation and seemed confused. After some time she finally found it and told me the reservation was cancelled. I travel a lot, but cancel seldom. Unfortunately, I only wrote her name down and the time I made the call on my notes, but wasn't offered and didn't ask for a cancellation number. I was charged for the room. After several call (not toll free) to the hotel, I was finally told that without a cancellation number, there was nothing they could do. After a long to the corporate office of Best Western I was finally told the same thing. Nothing they could do? I did talk to a "Crystal" and did cancel, I just didn't get a cancellation number.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/19/06
During our week in April at this hotel, they shut off the hot water and then turned off the water completely for almost two days. They did not notify us about any of this and gave us the runaround when we called to inquire about it. They told us it was because of the construction going on and they gave us a free night. Our room was dirty and not like any of the pictures on their website. The building was also dirty, partly due to the construction. Our advise is to call before you book your hotel and ask if there is construction going on or if they are having any problems with their plumbing. -- we learned the hard way. Unsatified Customers

Wouldn't recommend this Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/05
When I arrived it was obvious the hotel clerk did not want to be there. It had been raining all day and I was soaked so loaded all of my belongings into one trip to the room. Once inside I immediately smelled cigarette smoke and I had requested a smoke free room. The room was already rented and the occupant was in the bathroom. I returned to the front desk and the manager upgraded me to a tower room,to make up for the inconvenience. This room was much nicer and newer which just goes to show that when making an online reservation for the internet rates, that it will effect which kind of room you will get.

What a wonderful 4 days
The front desk staff made us feel like family. They were so friendly and helpful. I can honestly say that each and everyone of them seem to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Qur room was lovely. The housekeeping staff spoke little english but still were all smiles and our room was very clean. The continental breakfast could use some improvement but thats not the fault of the staff. We travel to the Sacramento area twice a year to see family and you can be sure we will be staying at the Best Western Harbor Inn & Suites.
