Nice Security Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/08
Was a part of a major business conference when I was at at a specific function was approached by a very unprofessional and rude security staff member questioning if I belonged to the group. Once I proved that I did he gives me a dirty look and takes off. Once I complained to management they decided to investigate me even though I was a guest and basically treated me like a criminal. Throughout the whole process they were totally out of line with their actions. I wont be here ever again!

Bad shower experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/08
The bath tub wasn't very clean. The drain was clogged up and halfway through each of my 4 showers, I had to turn off the water and wait for the water to go down the drain for about 2 minutes. I don't know how much my boyfriend paid, but knowing him, he must have paid a lot. The bathroom didn't have a fan; so if you care about this, it can get stuffy. The restaurant served good food. Excellent halibut! The location of the hotel is good. Nothing was stolen. Overall, it's ok, but the cleanliness of our room is questionable.

We stayed for Disneyland
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/19/08
Definitely business class. We stayed three nights over Christmas '07. The area is nice, but for us with two small children there was no place within walking distance. The hotel is clean inside, the restaurants and shops downstairs are convenient. If you book through Disney the parking is free, but we found it better to drive and park at downtown Disney then use the pass we purchased for the shuttle. The shuttle wait can be long and they pack it like a can of sardines. The rooms are spartan but perfect for sleeping. This is our second stay in ten years, but I think we will stay elsewhere next time. I am a tech junkie and not having access to free high speed internet is a downer and not acceptable for these times. The pool was clean. You can access the pool from another entrance opposite of the bar so there is no need to fear exposure in front of bar patrons. The distance from parking to your room can be a bit of a walk, if the family leaves you to the bags alone. Multiple trips will be necessary no way around it with more than three bags. If you come for Disneyland try and book through Disney. They give free parking ($20/Day otherwise) and will handle complaints if any. There are no microwaves provide with the basic room charge. For a fee the will provide one. We came during a lax business time, but normally this place is bustling with business traffic as the convention center is around the corner. The whole place can be very congested during business events. Oh,yeah no way walking to Disneyland with kids from here. Two healthy adults sure thing, but with kids to and from, not happening.

There for a convention
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/06
The room was a bit cramped. The bathrooms were absolutely tiny and the shower curtain smelled like B.O. Gross. The lobby is HUGE. Restaurant service was extremely slow, but the waiter was very nice. Convenient to the convention center. Parking was a bit less than the convention center or the Hilton next door. Hard to get to the pool. Room service was slooooowwwwwww....

Travler beware
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/06
Gifts were taken from the room. Hotel staff was uninterested, unhelpful, unresponsive and uncooperative. Leave nothing in the room you want to take home. You'll get no help in recovering it.

Excellent Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
I brought my family with me while I attended a conference at the Marriott Anaheim. Everything about the hotel was nice as soon as we got there. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the property is well kept. Disneyland is only two blocks away!

this is a marriott?? should be called Motel 6...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/06
All 4 of us got sick within 4 hours of eating at the restaurant. The pool was cold, and oddly we all got ear infections within days of our returning home. The staff were snobby--except the cleaning ladies, who were absolutely the prize of our stay--which was odd considering the tackiness of the hotel in general. The rooms were very clean, but VERY small. I guess it was okay for the amount of money we spent, but when we normally stay at the marriott there is no doubt that we are going to be in an excellent hotel. In my opinion, I wouldn't put my name on this hotel, it was a disaster.

Marriott Anaheim
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/29/06
Overall this is a very good hotel. The rooms were a little cramped but the beds and bathroom were more than adequate. The location was very convenient to Disneyland and was within walking distance of many restaurants. The hotel was just across the street from the convention center. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel because of its convenience and its laid-back atmosphere.

Most uncomfortable bed ever...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/05
I stayed here for a business conference in 2005 and did not have a great experience. While the staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous - the overall layout of the hotel isn't terrific, but the main problem was the size and quality of the room I had ( a standard double). The bed was like sleeping on a slab of granite. In my 4 night stay, I got little sleep due to the discomfort. I even moved to the floor at one point - since it was softer than the bed. I found the room (which had a view of the gravel strewn rooftop of an adjacent building) to be on the smallish side for a hotel with this rating. Being on business - I also like to work out in the evenings. Much to my disappointment - the workout room was placed on the opposite side of the hotel and didn't have a changing area - meaning that you had to walk through the lobby bar, through the concourse and past pizza hut and starbucks ...all in your workout clothes. Not the best thing when passing by businessmen getting drunk at the bar. On the positive side - they DO have good service and a Starbucks. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it for anyone staying for more than a night. It took over a week for my back to recover from that bed!!!
