La Quinta Inn Little Rock West, Little Rock

My familly and I decided this hotel would be a good place to stay at since we were in town visiting family for the weekend. It was our first time ever staying here which we were looking forward to a good weekend stay. When we arrived at the hotel and got to our room we noticed it didn't have a refrigerator and microwave in it. We were under the impression that all the rooms came equipped with this. I called the front desk to see if there was any way we would be able to switch to another room that had a refrigerator and microwave and if it would be a problem. I was told that we were gong to be moved to another room and when we got to the other room it was alot better. We got settled into our room and later that night another family had came into the room not knowing we were in there which come to find out it was suppose to be there room. They went to the front desk to tell them that someone else was in there room. So then everything went downhill from there and I was not at the room when all of this was going on. The lady at the front desk called the room and was asking my mom questions. My mom didn't know what was going on and told the lady she would have to talk to me since I was the one who had made the reservation. Then the lady told my mom that I had 10 minutes to get ahold of them or if not then they would put my family out. When I heard what was said it made me mad because we had little children with us and it was around 10p.m. at night. I called the front desk to see what was going on since I wasn't there and the lady was trying to see why we had two rooms reserved and that they weren't aware that we needed two rooms. I had originally reserved only one room and come to find out the very first room they put us in was the wrong room from the beginning. So in the end the staff at the front desk screwed everything up and the guy that was also working up front was new. They didn't check before putting us in someone else's room and they didn't check us out of the first room that we were suppose to be staying in. We will not be staying here again.

I will never go back! every time I went in the lobby (had several problems) I had to wait for the woman to come from her car. and every time that she did finally come in, she wreaked of the smell of weed. the service she provided was horrible. I had to change rooms 3 times. the first two rooms I got someone else was already in them. the third one was dirty, trash on the floor, dirty toilet(obviously the cleaning staff don't clean the toilets, who knows how long that stuff was sitting in there), no trash can, no soap, and a couple of the pillows smelled horrible. At that point I would of left, except I have two small children and it was almost 11pm and they were ready for bed. The front desk manager, in the morning, was wonderful! She reimbursed me and wrote down all of my issues. The difference between the service from her and the woman the night before was night and day. She was very apologetic for the womans behavior the night before and assured me that the situation would be taken care of. This was my first stay at a La Quinta and I will probably never stay at one again because of this experience. My goal was to save money, which happened, but it was an awful experience. Next time I would rather spend the extra money and get some real service and a clean room!

I came to Little Rock for a doctor's visit at UAMS and needed to stay the night for further test the following morning. The Inn on Fair Park Blvd was booked up and they referred me to the one on Schackleford. This one has the other beat by far. The staff was very courteous and helpful with anything I asked. The room had just been redone and was like a brand new room. The bed was the most comfortable and the bath & dressing areas were very spaceous. There are several resturants within walking distance. I have to come back in Nov. and will definietly stay here again!

Simply calling to reschedule my reservation took half an hour. I was late to work waiting for someone to pick up the phone. And this was after going through the recording that I have to talk to, since apparently we're now too lazy to punch in numbers on our phone. When I finally did talk to a person, she was no doubt following a script, she sounded like a recording herself. Then she asked me if I want to reschedule, and I said yes, but not here. This is an absolute never. I blame myself for even considering going to Little Rock and staying any place but The Peabody. Do yourself a favor and spend the few extra dollars to be treated like a human being.
