Howard Johnson Inn, Fort Smith

Howard Johnson Hotel - 101 North 11th street - Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is one of the sleaziest hotels in which I have stayed. It is in a bad part of Fort Smith with numerous bail bond offices nearby. The hotel is open to the streets on three sides - most rooms are external entry. The attitude of the restaurant staff and front desk is one of thinly veiled contempt for guests. They are generally arrogant and unfriendly. Food in the restaurant is bad. I waited 35 minutes on a slow Friday night for a BLT and fries. No apology or explanation from the surly waitress who eventually served them.

This hotel was an excellent choice. Rooms were very clean and well kept and the front desk staff was excellent. Every employee there were so helpful and courteous. We wll be staying there again when we're in town and would highly recommend to anyone.

Good Food at Woody's and jacuzzi room was...well..a Jacuzzi room. Service was good and the people were friendly....Recommend to stay there...going back myself again!
