Family Budget Inn Harrison, Harrison

I read the good reviews of this motel and decided to save a few dollars and stay there. However you get what you pay for. Our room was only semi clean, was full of flys and it needed renovation. However the worst part was the neighbors this cheap hotel attracts. We got to enjoy the sounds of a beer party in the next room (at least a dozen people in the room and outside) from 1am to 6am. That morning the maid showed me another room that the party crowd had trashed. Because this hotel is somewhat isolated I don't think the police bother to patrol it either. In other words a great cheap place to have a party.

The location was pretty and the staff friendly enough, but the cleanliness definately could be improved. I had to ask specifically to have my room vacuumed!! The ice machine didn't work either. If you have food with you, the refrigerators are very small, so be forewarned. Compared to other hotels, it is very quiet. Request a room in the 200's or 300's, those buildings are newer.

Gave our room away.Management called my cell phone and told me they overbooked while I was driving to the motel.Asked to speak to owner.Owner did not help find another hotel.Very rude.

Great place to stay. Very family friendly. Clean and comfortable rooms. Easy access to highway 62/65 and up the hill from downtown Harrison. Close to a few resturants and gas station.
