awesome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/09
this place is great its clean modern and has a Starbucks. You can see a great view when the sun devils are practicing. the pool is on the roof which makes it awesome. the rooms are clean and they have excellent service. they have a really fancy restaurant but really expensive. They have a trolly outside of the hotel. they have a very amible concierge. this place is really safe. i would totally go back and stay. Its worth the money plus you are in downtown so you get to go to everything. Its really hot during the summer. They have the coolest mall which is scottsdale male its three story high mall and have every store perfect for shopping.

Nicely Updated
By Dawn, 04/15/09
I stayed here last minute. I have been here before and it is in the perfect location if you are going to see a baseball or basketball game. Fromt he last time I was here (aprox 2 years ago) they have updated the rooms. The decor is GREAT. And the new bathrooms were even better. It is now a luxury hotel. Will stay here again!!!!

There on business.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/08
Meeting rooms were great, temperature was kept very comfortable. Meals that were served were very good tasting, and done very efficiently. Lobby was beautiful and the bar was very nice. The room, and I stayed in one of the suites, left alot to be desired. It smelled of old smoke, and looked dated. My couch actually had a slice in it. Bed was comfy. Ok for business, not where I would go for pleasure.

Great Location, poor value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/07
The staff was great, the collection of single malt scotches was good as well. The valet parking was a nightmare with lines. If you go there park yourself across the street in the 24 hour lot. When my term of jury duty began I was able to park myself and it was handy since the elevator down from the garage exited next to the front desk. They changed the policy of self park to go "up scale" and it is truly "down scale".There are great places within a mile for less and the Hyatt a block away with better amenities.

Wyndham on E Adams -- Eh, it's alright
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/07
The lobby and hotel bar gives off the initial reaction that this hotel is very posh. Well, it stops about there. Once you get to your room it's appearance is like your average hotel room. The bed is comfy, but the decor of the room a bit outdated. Lighting in the bathroom area (shower/toilet room) is very dim and poor as there is only one light in there. No bathroom vent. As for location...it's in downtown Phoenix not really walking distance to any restaurants/shopping. Forget about free parking...the hotel only offers VALET parking at $19/night which they don't explicitly say on their website. They don't offer a free complimentary breakfast either -- Starbucks and a hotel restaurant Marston's is available for breakfast at YOUR cost. Be smart and read up on this place! It comes across as a upscale hotel when there are better hotels around for a similar price (Embassy Suites Phoenix Biltmore).

It's Downtown
By KevinM, 03/31/07
The Wyndham Phoenix is a nice hotel, however, for the money, it left a lot to be desired. The experience is not much better than a motel room that is $100 less. Parking is an additional 15 bucks a night. As stated in previous reviews, the walls are so paper thin, you could hear your neighbors' thoughts. With all of that said, the location was great for my needs. The civic center was three blocks away. It's two blocks to the Baseball stadium and US Airway Arena, (Suns, Arena Football) A couple of good bars/restaurants are across the street, and the food was great. The people at the hotel are very nice and accomodating. It's a downtown hotel, so you won't get much Phoenix flavor. However, it's only a short cab ride away. To sum up, if you are in Phoenix for business downtown, it's great. If you want to experience the real Phoenix, look around a bit more.

Super Service... Location a Disappointment
By Victoria, 11/22/06
All the amenities and upgrades were great BUT - the location is terrible if you want to go out to dinner within "walking distance" - get ready to hike or have a rental car if you want to eat somewhere decent. Hotel overall is worth every cent - become a Preferred Club Member and get the royal treatment. (Free LONG DISTANCE phone calls, free high speed internet in your room, complimentary welcome basket, upgraded room, and so much more.) I was impressed and this hotel stay has been one of my favorites just based on the overall experience here.

Finally a Luxury Hotel in Downtown Phoenix
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/09/06
This hotel hasn't just been renovated, it's been reborn. Clearly, it has become the best place to stay in downtown Phoenix. Rooms feature plush bedding with down pillows and duvets. The lobby is spectacular. The new lounge features a large selections of wines by the glass, designer martinis and outstanding small plates. The food in the bar is actually better than any other restaurant in downtown. The staff is warm, friendly and professional. And the hotel is located in the middle of everything downtown. I paid less here than at the Hyatt across the street and the Wyndham is by far the superior hotel.

One of the Best !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/01/05
I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was always courteous, efficient, and PROMPT! Room service was on time, every time; housekeeping was time-efficient; and the concierge was very informed & helpful. My room was clean and airy with lots of light. The restaurant menu was varied and the meals were always fresh & delicious - as were the desserts!
