It's Downtown
The Wyndham Phoenix is a nice hotel, however, for the money, it left a lot to be desired. The experience is not much better than a motel room that is $100 less. Parking is an additional 15 bucks a night. As stated in previous reviews, the walls are so paper thin, you could hear your neighbors' thoughts. With all of that said, the location was great for my needs. The civic center was three blocks away. It's two blocks to the Baseball stadium and US Airway Arena, (Suns, Arena Football) A couple of good bars/restaurants are across the street, and the food was great. The people at the hotel are very nice and accomodating.
It's a downtown hotel, so you won't get much Phoenix flavor. However, it's only a short cab ride away.
To sum up, if you are in Phoenix for business downtown, it's great. If you want to experience the real Phoenix, look around a bit more.
