You should be disappointed

When we first pulled up to check in, the first thing I said to my wife was "there may me more ECONO to the Lodge than we anticipated." Although the price was right and the management/staff was extremely pleasant & helpfull, I will not stay here again. Econolodge should take their name off this motel. There are many things I could say, but one situation will say it all. We had to turn off the air conditioner to use the Iron or Microwave. Management said we would blow a fuse. They said they were doing some up-grades, but I understand this "remodeling" has been going on for more than a year. I wondered when we checked in why to manager took our money at chec-in rather than waiting until check-out as has every other place I stayed in over the years. I guess he was afraid we would cancel once we saw the room and/or stayed for a while. My wife said it best ... "in all the hotels/motels I have stayed in over the years, this was her worst experience. The room served it purpose, but I would recommend spending a little more money and staying somewhere else. The area/town is not that large that some other location would not work.
