Westmark Anchorage, Anchorage

Had a great room and the view outside was spectacular! THe desk made us feel welcome and we talked to them everytime we left the hotel. Only thing i would suggest is booking this at SweetHotelDeals. N e t

As far as the help goes in the hotel, they get 5 stars. I was on the third floor on the 5th AVE side of the hotel. Is was impossible to sleep due to the sound of traffic and drunks yelling down the street. The rooms are very out dated with old fixtures and tube TVs. Very clean though. I was scheduled to stay a second night but informed the desk clerk that I had to leave do to the noise. I have stayed at other Westmark Hotels and this one just needs a facelift with some sound proof windows.

As the last night of our tour was ending, we were pleased with the beautiful room and courtesy of the staff. As it turns out we had a handicapped room, which was ideal for me, as most bathtubs are too high for me to get into. It was great!

I loved how close it was to EVERYTHING downtown, including some wonderful restaurants. We also took a carriage ride from across the street. And the sushi bar located in the hotel was bomb. And the weekend price is unbeatable.

Employeers was very nice, frendly and helpfull. Room was clean and big! I had beautyfull view in City on night. Maybe you must show to people how use a keysdoor :)

The Westmark Anchorage was very clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay. It's a very busy hotel as its the starting point and ending point for those on Holland America Alaska Cruise Tours, but the staff handled it very well. Our rooms were ready on time and the views are amazing with a great balcony to enjoy. If your there in the summer (as we were) and the sun stays high in the sky late, the room had darkening curtains. Being in the heart of the action is important in Anchorage, and this hotel is right there. Give yourself a few days before or after your cruise tour to enjoy this city/hotel. You will be sorry if you don't. Great restaurant, the Solstice bar & grill on site. Or for an extra special treat go right across the street to the Glacier Brew House. Free internet in the lobby, ATM machines, payphones, giftshop, free newspaper at the Solstice hostess station in the morning, or until they're gone.

This hotel is clean, service is excellent, and a great location. The views from the 11th floor are spectacular! Can't wait to go back! The only thing that I disliked is the prices of the food, way too expensive!
