The hot springs are the main attraction here and are well worth the trip, but plan to stay elsewhere if at all possible. The rooms are substandard and dirty (even at almost $300 per night for the family!), the service is extremely poor and the food at the restaurant is horrible and expensive. I enjoyed the hot springs, but it's very clear that the management here is just out to take your money without providing even acceptable accomodations and service. The Taste of Alaska Lodge up the road seems more promising for an overnight stay, I've been told by many locals.
