WHAT A DIVE!

Don't even think of staying in this place. Where do I start. Rude and unfriendly front desk people wearing old sweats and a T-shirt. No info given on the hotel or area. 10 mins to check in. Hall carpet filthy, and floor creaked so bad thought I would fall through. Almost left before I got to the room, and should have. Large room was a positive, but stepped back in time once entering. Old tube tv with a remote that would not work. Creaking floors and stained carpets. Bed was old, and hard. Had to look hard to see that it had a mattress and not just the box spring. Light fixtures right out of the 70's, and very poor lighting in the room. Where are the plug ins??? Thin walls and even thinner glass. Heard everything outside, couldn't hear the tv over the noise. Nice Harbor view, but the room is right over the busiest road in the town. 4 lanes of fast moving traffic all night long. It never quit. Thought I was in L.A. Located right next to the High School, so you guessed it, 900+ teenagers and squeeling tires all night. Bathroom would have been better if it would have been an outhouse. No shower nozzle, yes that is right, no shower nozzle. Room had No Smoking sign, but that didn't cover the 100+ years of smoking before the sign was hung. Survived the night but it was creepy, and it felt like things were crawling on my skin all night. Couldn't wait to check out and leave. Front desk help in the morning no better. No conversation was made, just handed a receipt. Found a real hotel for my remaining nights in town. A tent in a parking lot, with a sleeping bag found along the road, would have been better than this place. My recommendation.....Tear it down and start over.
