BEST WESTERN Country Lane Inn, Juneau

The staff was as friendly as you will find and always willing to help. They were great in providing directions to tourist sites and places to eat. And, the morning breakfast buffet was a great bonus so we did not have to get up each morning and start looking for a place to eat. We found the rooms to be quite and were never bothered with the noise from the airport which is only a few blocks away. The room was extremely clean and always cleaned when we returned from site seeing. The mattresses could stand a flipping but were adequate. Even though we had a rental car, they provided shuttle service for us one day and picked us up afterwards. We thought location was good. Parking was tight for our rental car but was much better than being downtown where parking is a big problem. We stayed four nights and would not hesitate to stay again.

Everything about the hotel was perfect however did want to say a couple of things. The hotel is near the airport and a bit of a drive to town, that said GREAT transport staff, anytime/anywhere was never a problem. The airport --- great for us as we stay here twice over a two week period and were in and out of the airport a number of times. Oh Boy, the tour helicopters however a bit noisey and a bit late in the evening, so if your early bedtimers like me it was a little bothersome but overall would definately stay here again. Very near Mendenhall Glacier also.

I paid in cash. So I had to leave a 100.00 deposit. That was not cool, because, I only brought over a little bit of cash for just a 2 day stay in juneau. So once I left my deposit, I couldn't do much of anything. Not cool.
