The Best Breakfast!

At the Alabama visitor center, we had asked for a place in the historic district of Montgomery.
From the exterior, it looks old... not impressive. The room has seen better days. It was clean, but looks like it could use new paint, new carpet, a new look. I liked the balcony overlooking the city, and the old oak tree just outside the window. I liked the location and the price of the room. However, the best part was sitting in the dining room the next morning and having breakfast in the old fifties style dining room, looking at photos of the hotel from days when it was new and modern. Good food, and good service there. People were friendly.
We did not use the pool, nor go to the bar. There was a bus stop just across the street if you didn't want to drive your car into the downtown area. We decided to drive into town and take a trolley tour... excellent way to see historic Montgomery, only a $1 for the day.
