Disastrous Stop on a Long Journey
I kept in touch with this hotel along the trip (called three different times), informing them that I would be arriving late, and they said there would not be a problem. Priceline also told me on the phone that there wouldn't be a problem arriving late because they guaranteed the room with a card. When I got there, the lady behind the desk said she had already closed our ticket out and I didn't have a room. I had to threaten to call Priceline, who I had made reservations with, before she considered giving us a room.
So when we finally got a room, the first room she sent us to, there were dirty bedspreads and sheets in the floor and a box of trash in the bathroom (the room hadn't been cleaned). We went back up front, she sent us to another room, and neither of the keys worked. At that point I was really frustrated, called the front desk, and she came and opened the door with another key. The bathroom smelled like cat urine.
We ended up not going back the second night that we had already paid for through Priceline because everything was so nasty and it was a disaster. We were out that money as no refunds were issued, and had to pay for another hotel the second night.
