Comfort Suites Laurel Lakes, Laurel

Rooms need total overhaul, not clean. Very disappointing Comfort Suites.

The hotel was bad. The one bed and box spring made a bad noise. The housekeeping didn't clean very well and vacuum very nice either. The breakfest wasn't good either. I wouldn't stay here again.

I get to the hotel and the elevators reeked of urination, Got to our room and it what really hot in there. Went to take a shower and the center drain was even out of the tub, and the tub still filled up. Went to watch tv and it was broke, notified front desk and it took 24 hrs to get it fixed. Went out sight-seeing and it was super hot out, we get to our room and house cleaning shut off our air. Went to go swimming and the water was cloudy...you think they could afford a pool service. At night I asked for a carton of milk and they told me I couldn't have one and that only the morning people had the key which I have a hard time believeing. I will not be staying at anymore comfort suites.

I picked this hotel because it had a 3 star rating and was about $80/night. It had positive things: Great continental breakfast, morning newspaper at door, good location near shopping and restaurants, microwave and refrigerator in room, a shuttle service to nearby Metro. Negative things: Bathroom light was burned out. Upon getting out of the elevator on 5th floor, one could barely breathe because of the thick cigarette smoke filled hallways (washing machine is on the 5th floor). Hallway carpets were stained and peeling up at the seams. The indoor "pool" was small and had cloudy water with scum floating on the surface. Also, don't make any "local" calls on the phone. We called a local theatre 2 blocks from the hotel for a 2 minute recording. They charged us $1.66 for the call although the info. sheet in the room said they charged 50 cents for local calls.
