Days Inn Fancy Gap, Fancy Gap

the hotel was very clean i had no issues with anything there. I only spent one night, however the room was very clean. The mad at the front desk was helpful as far as a place to eat.The only downside no place will deliver food due to its location and the closest place is 7 miles away. if the need arises again i would stay there again.

THIS PLACE WAS FILTHY. THE FLOORS HADN'T BEEN SWEPT, THERE WAS AN AWFUL STENCH, AND WHEN I PULLED BACK THE BLANKETS ON THE BED, THERE WAS HAIR ALL THROUGH THEM!! I REFUSED TO STAY THERE. WE WERE THERE AT MOST 10 MINUTES, AND THE OLD MAN WORKING THE DESK WOULDN'T GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. I DEMANDED TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER WHO JUST HAPPENED TO BE OUT OF TOWN THAT DAY. HOW CONVENIENT. WE ENDED UP GOING A FEW MORE MILES UP 77N AND FOUND A NICE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS IN HILLSVILLE.

I rode my motorcycle for 13 hours from Florida, for a 2 day stop at this "Days Inn" at Fancy Gap.This was the 18th + 19th of June 2005. On the 2nd day, 3 more friends arrived from Connecticut to join me in riding the BRP. One rider shared a room with me and the others took a second room next door. We left the cleaning staff a small $5.00 gratuity daily, which THEY EARNED! The front desk people were extremely helpful with local info, like where to eat, etc. The rooms were clean and most importantly to me, very quiet. I called the front desk to ask for extra towels as others would be arriving, and received the extra towels less than 10 minutes later. The breakfast layout was a simple one, but an ample one! All 4 of us agreed that this hotel was a good choice. I am bringing my wife back with me to look at property for sale in early August 2005 and am going to stay at this "Days Inn" again.
