An OK stay.
By Dude, 7/31/10
The room was very good. Nice separate living and sleeping areas. Clean, quiet, comfortable with accommodating housekeeping staff. A microwave and refrigerator are provided. There are snack and drink items available in the room at typical hotel prices. The same with room service. Very good but also high cost with additional costs. I found the workout area satisfactory except that it seemed to be totally unattended. Many times there were no workout towels or cups for the water cooler. The area was often messy and unkempt. The same for the pool area. There are two nice but small pools, one indoor, one outdoor, however once the towels ran out more were not provided. All in all, we would return.

A NICE LOCATION near EXPRESSWAY TO THE CITY
By Joe The Bear, 10/13/06
Our family had two rooms for our six-night vacation to Chicagoland. (My first time back to Chicago since my college daze - that was '92). I was disappointed during the check-in process, as the check-in person was downright rude. However, that soon changed by the way the rest of the hotel staff treated us throughout the stay. The night auditor/night mgr and bellman were exceptional, always friendly as we were coming back after a busy day sightseeing in the city - several times when we came back after 10pm the night audit and maintanance allowed me to lounge in the jacuzzi while letting me listen to WXRT-fm on my small radio w/o any problems. - NOW, that's a hotel worth staying. My last night I stayed in the hottub after midnight, a no-no at this hotel (They close at 10) but, the staff understood and didn't mind. The lobby area is nice, never used the restaurants nor mini-bar items. Bought items from Walgreens up the street - saved $$$ - The rooms were very nice. A little used - but overall nice. Toilet plugged the first night, but housekeeper did a nice job. no further probs, except for the elevator area on floor 4 - lights are busted and suggested replacement, as some wires were exposed. I was very happy with the hotel overall, and would stay there again if I come back to Chicago. Dunkin Donuts and Jewel was nearby, alongside Walgreens. Nice lake and nature preserve next door. Very peaceful. Thanks. JG

Best stay I have had
By nonamehere, 9/19/05
Loved, absolutely loved the stay in this hotel. Was there for 7 days and had wonderful service from the front desk, house-keeping, valet, etc. The rooms are more then adequate, the bed is to die for--nice and comfy with down pillows to boot. My room was cleaned everyday even after I left late in the afternoon to go out, housekeeping still came in. The pools both of them (outside and inside) were clean and nice. Now the only thing I think I could complain about is the prices they charge for the snacks and drinks in the fridge, but that was easily remedied. Bought my own snacks and drinks from elsewhere, took the drinks out of the fridge and put mine in. Then replaced with hotel's at the end of the stay..No problem. Wonderful hotel, took maybe 15 mins from O'hare to get there, close to two big malls, Metra pick up close by also. Would definitely recommend and definitely would stay there again and again..

Very Disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/25/05
Given the Sheraton name, I expected much more than this hotel had to offer. We reserved two non-smoking rooms, but at check-in, we were assigned two smoking rooms. We had to argue to get what we had reserved. The room was very small for a "suite." It seemed more like a standard hotel room with a wall down the middle. My biggest complaint, however, was the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived at the room, the first thing we noticed was a hole in the sheet on the bed. We also noticed dirty marks on the wall and the bed sham. When it came time to go to sleep for the night, we found that the extra pillow stored in the dresser had blood stains all over one side of it. As if that was not enough, when we pulled the pull-out sofa out, the sheets had not been changed and it had garbage from the last guest folded into it! Housekeeping seems to have just skimmed the room rather than fully inspect it. After our initial problems, however, the service from the staff at the hotel greatly improved. They were able to offer directions and suggestions for nearby sights and restaurants. One suggestion for Sheraton: offer complimentary amenities with each stay. When guests are charged for local calls, internet, water, and everything else in the room, why are we paying so much to stay there? If I ever travel back to this area of Chicago, I will not be staying at the Sheraton Suites.

Bare bones
By John Wangermann, 5/11/05
You need a car to get to the location. To get away from the hotel, even for a snack, requires a car too. The bedroom and bathroom parts of the suites are cramped. Most of the furnishings have seen much better days. Not necessarily dirty, but very worn and old. Tried to avoid the room service and restaurant. The Sheraton bed is good though, and the TVs are big, if that's important.

Remote
Very remote from any other retail businesses, so they soak you for everything -- soft drink machines, etc. Very few amenities for a hotel of this class.
