Good Value for the Location
By christopher, 7/1/06
I have stayed here 4 times over the last 4 years. The rooms vary- those on the upper floors are nicer. The rooms on the first 2 floors are not very nice. The top floor rooms are the best( if you don't mind stairs). The staff is very friendly. No breakfast, but what do you expect for 55 quid in South Kensington! A 3 minute walk to the Gloucester road tube which is on both the Picadilly and Circle Lines. Again, just get a room on an upper floor. Windsor is my favorite room. The rooms are really only suited to singles or couples. A nice value for the location.

Avoid this hotel!
By GinaA, 12/1/05
I am sorry to disagree with the other reviewers, but this hotel, while a great location, was awful. The room was filthy. The bathroom had large amounts of mildew, and the tub was not clean. The carpet was filthy. The heating could not be controlled, so we had to open the window, which gave us a lot of street noise. The desk was polite, but either could or would not help us- either with cleaning or changing rooms. The breakfast was very mediocre (only white bread for toast, toaster that consistently burned the bread)I would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER stay at this hotel again without an inspection of the room that very day. The photos we saw on the internet were attractive, but we only saw the exterior. Very different behind the doors.

Will stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/05
This hotel is in a perfect location-very close to the tube. It was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. For the price, in London, it was a great deal.

Excellent small hotel
By GeorgeH, 7/9/05
Nice, family run hotel. I liked the location close to the metro and the shops. Great for us to go sightseeing from. Moved from our last hotel because it was too noisy on the cromwell road, this was much better.

Great find in a quiet location
By Alan, 7/9/05
Good, polite service. Breakfast was served to us in the room. We had a clean large high ceilinged room, with large windows. Will definately come back thanks to the very quiet central location.
