Burton's Gatehouse Inn, Mansfield

I have been reserving rooms at Burton’s gate house for well over a year. Of the 2 motels under $120 a night this is the best in town. Every week I go over to get my invoices and the owners are always washing curtains, painting, cleaning carpets ect. One night there was an issue with a local causing a disturbance in the parking lot, Mr Mike came out and told the person to get off the property, or he would call the police, and the person left. perhaps those people who would rather sleep in there truck, should go get a room for $120 + . I appreciated the nice people at Burton’s I know of many other repeat customers who appreciate the accommodations here in the Haynesville shale. Thank you Mike, Herion and your lovely wives. this place is a dump the manager is a jerk and i would rather sleep in my truck than in this crack motel go to the mansfield inn or any place besides here unless your a crack head

The place is a total dump, I would recomend it if you want to experience what its like to live in a crack house for a brief period of time. The walls are filthy, the bathroom walls are rotten and molded. They DID try to remodel a bit, but the effort resulted in an epic failure. the place reeks of urine and humus. The the staff is horrible and speek to you with NO respect. Not exactly the way to run a bussiness, and the weekly rate is $490.00 rediculous, outrageous and absurd. You can try to polish a turd, but in the end its still a turf.

I have stayed here before but this last time my company had 3 rooms. We were working at a local plant and did not know how long the job would take. I paid for all the rooms for a week at a time and on the second week we got done early. When I went to check out they would not give me a credit for the days we would not be their. When I checked in they said that giving a credit would not be a problem. My company goes to this plant allot and from now on we will stay at the Mansfield Inn.

This place should be the last place that you choose if you are use to clean things. This is for men who worked all day and is simply go to bed. No small childern recomended. Lots of men roaming around all times of the night. The staff looked as if I had just distrubed them when I came to rent a room. It was just not the place that I would go unless I checked ou the place first.

Very conventiely located near resturant and highway... very professional and friendly staff...nice and quiet hotel in mansfield with home feeling...talked to the manager about updating rooms...manager confirmed that it should be done by the end of 2008...everything brand new..

Mike (?) states he was the manager but refused to give his last name when I contacted him with an issue about charges. And simply told me to call back next week.
