Great room, check your reservation though...
My wife and I travel in the area for various events at FedEx field related to the Redskins. Previously we've stayed in some hotels in Laurel (a couple miles down US1), and looking on the AAA web site I found a very inexpensive place and this was it. I went ahead and reserved a room.
The hotel just changed over from Fairfield Inn to La Quinta and the sign wasn't as visible as I would have liked. When we arrived we got the room keys but when we got to the room it wasn't what I reserved (King w/sofa microwave fridge). I went tot he desk and because of hotel renovations, the website had overbooked the hotel. I was going to call reservations but the desk clerk went ahead and got us into the room I had reserved (it turns out someone cancelled so it was available anyway). Also the desk clerk said the price was supposed to be a little more, and she charged us what the web site had for the price, but after seeing the room I didn't mind. There were 2 TV's, each with satellite and pay per view options including games and Internet access (with those little mini-keyboards) and the hotel had free Wi-Fi. The bed was very soft, and they had plenty of pillows.
After I got home I called La Quinta customer service. It took a few days but they called back and even though it seemed like a problem on the web site, they still had the manager call about the problem. She indicated they were getting a new computer system that would sync up with La Quinta's servers better so this problem wouldn't happen again. Check your reservations to be on the safe side, but the room was great, and we'll be going back to this one.
