I came here with my family to check out area colleges and was surprised at all the changes that were happening at the hotel and the area. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, bedding was new (pictures on site wer different) and clean, the breeakfast and Pub food were excellent! We didn't plan on eating our meals at the hotel but the taste and value were too good to pass up. Staff was friendly and knowledgable about the area. Beautiful sunsets ove the river! Great value and great place to stay! I would highly recommend it!

The room wasn't clean. Carpet needed to be replaced. Towels were stained. Bad food here. I wouldn't stay here again,

Needs Updating
By Alison, 5/31/09
This place needs an update on the rooms. If you like sleeping on plywood, then you will love this place. Also, the hotel is right across the street from the greatest view of an overpass where it would be an ideal place to film the "wacking" of a person for a mafia movie.

Way too expensive for what you get
By rozy, 5/7/07
Too expensive and even the pub food was bad. Maybe once the construction in the parking lot and the bridge nearby is done it will be better but so far my "river view" was nothing but a dug up parking lot. My chicken sandwhich- literally two slices of what looked like that old brand of Roman bread with a piece of chicken in between - NOTHING else! Bed was uncomfortable and the wall paper was peeling. Last the ceiling had water marks... I've stayed at better for less $$.

My choice every time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/07
I stay at least 2 to 4 times a year to visit my family in Quincy so it is mostly a matter of convenience. I preferred having the breakfast in an area outside of a bar as in the past. Maybe it is only temporary with the renovation taking place. The shuttle service is certainly an asset and the drivers are always friendly and accomodating. The pool is seasonal but has always been very cold whenever I've used it.

For the young at heart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/05
I am a local Bostonian, and know the shortcomings of this hotel- near Route 93 "speedway" and inconvenient to public transportation. However, it is clean, cheap, and always has rooms even during busy holiday weekends. I always suggested the younger single relatives with cars to stay here as amenities of comfort are not important to them. I would not recommned for older folks or families. It just does not have the convenience or amenities they would expect. Bring on the college crowd!!!
