Travelodge Cleveland Lakewood, Lakewood

Wife and I stayed here while in town for a Indians game and were pleased with our room we had. Staff was nice and helpful. Neighborhood seemed safe. We priced other rooms before this one and none came even close to the price we had here. Its only at the max a 10-15 minute drive to downtown. We will most likely stay here again the next time were in town.

For the price of a room, this was a great value. The room I used was a single -- (queen size, comfortable bed). The room was clean (daily housekeeping service was good) and odor-free. The furnishings and carpet were in good condition: ample room for someone who does not spend much of the day at the hotel, and quiet at night. While there is no restaurant at the site, only one ice machine (first floor), and no elevator, parking is free (unlike many of the city hotels). On the other hand, the Travelodge at Lakewood, Ohio is in a safe neighborhood, with easy access to the city and suburban malls by expressway, and to the city by Cleveland RTA. There are some pretty good restaurants west of the hotel. The next time I visit Cleveland, I will definitely return to the Travelodge Cleveland at Lakewood. Drawbacks: fee required just to activate the telephone; there is a $3 fee for using the available in-room safe.
